I think I might send him an email claiming to represent a museum or something, inform him that he has a two rare specimen of the (insert some VERY BIG words here) model (more big words, elaborate story), and the museum would be very interested in acquiring it. To make it seem more realistic (I want him to give up his addy :) ), I can claim that the museum is lacking funds, but it would be a shame to lose the specimens to someone who is going to be irresponsible with them, even if they are bidding more than the museum can offer. Then, going home places the final bid, promises to send a money order, and sends the self portraits.
