You may want to check out this link for how to clean up a rusted Nelly.

I have done this to one of my "Basket 007" and it came out looking like new steel... This won't do anything for pitting in the metal but will remove all the rust.

No, leave it like that!! A rusty old 007 with Lapco internals is the paintball relative to a nice Rat Rod!!! That's exactly what I would like to have!!! Imagine getting into the field holding a rusted gun that shots just as good or even better then a new gun... That rocks!!!

If any of you guys want to part with your 007, let me know, ok? Must be working, though.
If I could find one with a CA adaptor (through the grip-frame), even better.

Exactly! Same thing with that KP2 above the nelly. It's got some palmer valve parts that make it shoot incredibly well.

A guy on my team has a ridiculously nice nel-spot. It's been nickel-plated, new barrel press-fitted in, rear ca setup, and a direct feed, and runs it with a Micro-CA II.
