63 cu ft Scuba Tanks

I'm looking into getting a couple of Scuba tanks to keep 3-4 markers filled with air all day. Assuming 4000-5000 rds shot total, will 2 tanks be sufficient (used in sequence or parallel)?

Could I get away with 63 cu ft tanks or would I be better off using an 80 cu ft? Assume all tanks will be 3000psi.

I recommend the 3300psi "Neutral Bouyancy" 80 cubic foot tanks. Only like $10 more fo them and for the ability to fill a bit more and get maybe a fill or two more at 3000.

Sure you could get away with 63's if you got a real good deal on them or something. Less fills above 2000 but...

Definitely it is worth paying a little extra to get a bigger tank. The bigger the better, that way the pressure drop is not so rapid as you fill your PB tanks. You will end up with many more useable fills.

No the regular one works fine. What you are going to find out is its hard to get a 3000 SCUBA to get to 3000 after it cools it will drop to like 2800 or so. If you can get one of these NB SCUBA Tanks to 3300 it will likely be down to 3100 or so when it cools down. But you do need to watch it anyway when you fill. You are never supposed to just open the thing up and not watch the PB tank guage and stop fill of the PB tank when the guage gets at 3000. You just ease it up and close the SCUBA's valve to stop the flow. If you want a real good fill wait about 10 minutes and recheck and bump it on back up to 3000 if need be. But the fill stations will handle way more than the 3300 so a regular one will do. But do not over fill the PB tank if it is 3000 psi then fill to that only!

i would recomend the 80 cf tanks... me and some friends split 2 and they last like a day and a half of full play for 5 people

scuba tanks

i was wondering were would you get a scuba tank from? would a local propane place place that fills up propane tanks have compressed air? do you have to have any qualifications to use it? if i got one of these for around 80-100 dollars how much does it cost to get refills on a 80cu ft size?

The 3300 psi scuba tank has a different type of valve called a din valve. If you buy this tank then you will have to buy a special $200 fill station also the best place to buy a scuba tank ( as far as I know ) is

Well, even if you have 3100 psi in a 80cf scuba you'll prolly only be able to fill 5 empty 68ci tanks at 3000. Based on my shady math the scuba tank will dip about 20psi every time you fill a pb tank from nothing to 3000psi so around the 6th fill you'll get about 2880 then 2860 and so on. Of course most people don't drain their pb tanks completely before filling again, so let's say you top at 1500 all the time. You could do this bout 10 times at 3000psi.

I'm thinking of getting a 3,300 scuba, but 200 for the special fill station? I may just go with a 3000 cause of that.

NO! That is not right MagMaster2!!! The 3300 does not take a different valve. It has the same valve as the other SCUBA tanks. J type I think its called. Same fill station you can find for $50. I have one and I know this to be the truth.

Now it is true the Steel 3500 psi SCUBA's use the DIN valve but not the Aluminum 3300's.

Look at item 457 Notice no surcharge on it and its total is about $10 more than the 80 cubic foot 3000.

Can you fill CO2 tanks with a scuba tank? I know that its prolly not a good idea, but if you only put 2000 psi or so into it, would that work, and would it be worth the risk?
