I have always been in love with the ability to swap out breeches on the xmags but just do not want to give up my tac style body. Does anyone think that it would ever be possible to have a warp body with swapable breeches.
I actually have a plan but it would require a lot of money to execute.
lets see some input on this though
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
basically what i would do is take my vert warp body and cut the body directly in front of the lip where the barrel butts up against the breech when its screwed in and would cut it 1/4" behind the feedneck.
I would then take a warp feed body and do the same with the breech from the warp body essentially just removing the front and rear of the body to have just a breech.
I would then need to take a third body and cut the body just to the other side of where i cut so that i do not remove any metal from the front and rear sections to use on my mag. I would then essentially be able to sand them down with fine grit and re ano the parts.
I then would take the front and rear sections of the body and permanently attach them to my rail to create the same effect as the xmag (i would have someone remove the ano and then weld the body to the rail... then obviously smooth everything and refinish it)
the end product is essentially going to be a $700 process (which includes the price for the 3 bodies and parts) and a LOT of time and effort.

If anyone has any thoughts on this or has similar thoughts let me know. I just dont want to think i am crazy for cutting 3 bodies up to make 1 X-Tac.
However, i garauntee that agd could make these for a lot cheaper if they put them in production. Yet i know this will never happen and makes me sad. but hey its nice to dream.
And i promise, if i ever win the lottery and get extra money i am going to do this and it will be the most magnificent X-Tac you will ever see .... along with it being the only one

Just a heads up. I think there have been a couple threads about trying to get AGD to make new products but with how AO has done in the past with Colored Xvalves and other items, they just don't sell well. People will beg and beg until it happens but no one will pony up and buy it. I think its been like this since the days Tom posted here about the Attic Sales.
