Xt Customs----unibody Hits The Market----pics Inside

This Shockwave unibody is hot off the mill. Just got all the 3D milling done on the 1st one today and also did some testing with it bolted on my emag. works great!!! I decided during the fall that the unibody was the platform of choice to go with because it would be less pieces to machine and would allow me to mill bodies with only one setup instead of doing a rail and then a body and also having to make the slugs and rail blanks from scratch. all of that is good news for you guys because it will lower the price.

Unibodys are threaded to accept autococker barrels, and angel detents and feednecks. Bodies accept RT PRO or emag style sears. The bottom has been ULE milled out. Weighs in at a low 8.3 OZ (Phoenix body + rail weighs 8.6 oz.). You still have the ability to bolt up a foregrip. The foregrip bolts to a rectangular piece of metal and that gets bolted into the front pocket in the bottom.

Price will be a fuzz north of the original planned $250.....not by very much though!
This is a very good value for a 3D machined body. We are taking 2044 passes with the
4 axis cnc mill to do just the 3D on this body!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ordering info will be in the dealers section on friday. Bodies will be instock and ready to
    ship very soon.

This is a picture of the prototype shockwave body and rail setup that i made in the fall.
Just thought i would throw it in with the unibody pics so you can see the design with the matching battery housing milling.

Sweet. Why does AO always seem to see these before I do. Like I really care. Just good to see it to this point.

As people will notice more 3d went into the unibody. It was a complete redo. We added cuts in the waves to give it more shape. Also added a small cut on top in front of the feedneck (not much)

My, my, my..... just in time for my new project. Outstanding.

Edit: ugh, whoever gets the polish job is going to hate life by the time they get done with all those curves.

Polishing will not be that bad if you have the correct tools. a die grinder with a pointed felt bob works wonders. I polished the prototype body/rail in one hour at work.

You could use a stud, but with the ule milling it is going to be hard.

The mouting provisions for the foregrip are already done. Just gotta mill out the plate that the foregrip mounts to. Its a clean looking setup and nothing hangs below the bottom of the body.

That is one good looking body right there.

Being milled for dual detents is very nice indeed. :)

and do you do anno, or are they raw

interested in one, maybe 2 bodies.

Anything that is 3D machined looks a little rough until its polished. The bodies do not look rough in person. They will polish out pretty fast because i am running .007" stepover with a 3/16 Ball End Mill.

I would need more info on the milling required to install a rainman pump kit.

I do not do anodizing. all the local anodizers that were any good went out of business last year. with the small qty. of bodies i sell i cant get any deal. It always looks a ton better to have your entire gun done at one time so everything with match. There are a couple of guys that do killer anodizing work here on AO.
