    You guys like your Mini's??

I have been a Mag man for some time now, i never could justify getting another marker when my Emag does everything i could want and more.

But when the Mini came out it caught my eye and the more I read about it the more I liked it, but having never held or played with one i just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. My friend just picked up a, DP G3, its about the same size as the Mini, and i must say it feels really good to hold a fire. Very comfortable easy to walk, snap shoot, and just flat out light. This has put me back on the Mini again, since AO is the only place i trust, what do you guys think of the Mini. You don't have to go into detail just a like/dislike would be cool.

    Thanks AO in advance.

I really liked mine, and regret selling it.

Easy to maintain, fun to shoot.
Didn't like the ASA and lack of options in adding an on/off with bleed.

My orange Mini feels good in my hands and shoots very smooth. I know that some people out there will complain that the Mini kicks, but that kick is very little. I don't expect my marker to have no kick at all. I like some feedback.

I like the bolt system on the Mini. When you take it out, you'll notice that it looks a lot like a Mag valve. So I consider my Mini as a poor man's Emag. The whole marker is pretty simple to take apart to clean. Too bad you are in PA, otherwise I'd let you shoot mine.

Love my Mini, honestly cant go wrong with a G3 or a Mini.

They both do seem to have some that people get and just can not get to work for them - not sure if it's QC issues or what, but there are definitely some people that hate both these guns out there.

If you are a mag guy, you might enjoy the G3 more, as you can change out the reg, the ASA, feedneck, they have a PMD pressure gauge, and aftermarket stuff that seems to do more than just cosmetic differences - Good if you are a tinkerer or like to change gun configurations. - Opto trigger - similar to shooting an Eblade - Spooler style gun ( Shocker, Droid, Matrix )

Mini is more gas n go - all the stock parts seem to work better than any of the aftermarket stuff ( except trigger ) - HES trigger similar to the Emag without even close to as much mass being pushed around by the noid. - Poppet style gun ( Ego, Timmy, to many others to list )

PA... can you get out to Tunaball? I'll let you shoot one of mine and you can form an opinion - and my friend with the G3 might make the trip, comes down to if she has money or not.

                thanks guys all good comments!!

i went to the first Tunaball, had a great time, thinking of going again this time as well.

the Mini appeals to me b/c of the HES trigger and other Emag like features, I've heard it called, "an Emag for today".

toting around the Emag for the past few years, I didn't realize how light today's markers are getting. Plus my friends that I play with all have Emags so I dont get my hands on the marker of the month to often

i like the Mini b/c it different, the G3 just looks like a "me too" marker.

I bought one a couple weeks ago for my girlfriend to use when she plays with me. I finally got a chance to get to the field yesterday and try it out a bit. Put a Revvy on it with the stock barrel and shot away, just so I knew how it would perform while she is using it, and it worked great. I loved the way it shot, felt great, kind of like a really small Mag. At first it was a little small, but after a couple of games I fell in love with it. I am heavily considering picking one up for myself.

Next weekend, I am going out again, and I'll remember batteries for my Halo this time and put my Freak on there and see how it really performs, I'm really looking forward to it.

Boy... I hate to be the one downer voice here, but the mini has one problem (last I checked). The battery pack connects directly to the board. This means that if you're rough on that pack a lot of issues can arise from the abnormal stresses on the board. I've seen too many tourny players destroy the things... then again if you're just playing casual recball you'd probably be just fine! Both the Mini and G3 are tiny fast markers... just a little flimsy IMO... I think the G3 feels better (not counting the trigger which sucks) but I've never taken one on field. Either way they are a dime a dozen now-a-days.

i agree i liked the G3, but the trigger was just okay, i love the HES on my Emag so i hope i would like it on the Mini.

I had to put a Magna Magnet behindthe trigger to get it stiff enough to have possitive feedback like the emag trigger does, now I can rip on it like mad. The trigger and no on/off are my only complaints on the Mini

LOL tell them to quit leading with their guns

Seriously though, Mini, Ego, RX, Geo, Vice, DM - they are all milled so thin to get the uber low weight, they will all crumple like paper mache if you land hard on them in a dive.

The battery pack slides into a dovetail on the frame and plugs into the eye sensor board and is held in place my 2 set screws on the grip frame. as far as mounting system with this design, its really the only way they could go with the lack of beefy chunk of metal on the gun ( not like the Emag rail and battery pack )

So yeah, if you use your gun for a shovel, walking stick, machette, or boogie board - the Mini probably aint a good idea, but neither are most other "speedball" type guns out there.

i keep my Emag at one magnet for the return and i put a o-ring under it, i like a very very soft trigger, so a soft trigger on the Mini is not a problem for me.

the on/off thing doesn't bother me, not being able to add a drop i though would bother me, since i use a HUGE drop on my Emag, but holding the G3 with a 68ci and no drop it felt comfortable, i can't do that with my Emag.
