The only issues with those detents is that the screws like to loosen, and then they don't provide enough tension on the detent lever. I've also seen a few MM's with those threads stripped pretty badly, and there isn't much of a remedy for that.
It was a good design, but the third generation was the best of them.

Very nice rseb4agze. Pretty similiar to what I am wanting to do with mine. Trying to find a dust black vert adapter now. Having a hard time getting a reply from someone who is listing one for sale. May have to just buy a nickel one from PTP and get it reanoed along with the rest of the marker.

Thanks man! Honestly I only purchased the micromag because of the x valve was equip with it when it was for sale and I got it for a really good price.. I was going to resale it with just the micro valve and keeping the x valve but I ended up really loving it and transforming it to is current state now.. But last time I contacted PTP via e-mail they did have the black but on there website it said only nickel was in stock.. Try contacting them via e-mail and on the misc sale suction I know there is a guy selling 2 for like $30 bucks link below..

Yes, that is the thread that I was having some time getting answers to. Apparently both were sold even though I asked pretty quickly, oh well. I'll try PTP and see if they happen to have any black ones.
