I guess I am not that up on the sock market, I buy mine 10 pairs in a bag for $10 at Kohl's. Maybe I should pick up some Dye socks and get an additional 3 eliminations each round :)
Are you freaking kidding me..

They know their market. The way i look at it is that they know that the only people who will be buying from them are paintballers because there are more well known brands for socks. aintballers who will buy them are more likely to buy specialized paintball socks than just another athletic sock. It does make a lot of sense.Originally posted by JaronInteresting they call it "paintball" sock instead of an athletic sock. But yes, I've seen good socks sold for upward of $20, particularly the really nice hiking or boot socks. I usually like Dye gear, and I'd get a pair if I could find them local.Il n'y a point de sots si incommodes que ceux qui ont de l'esprit.Comment

that and the fact that little agglets love matching gear.Originally posted by snoopay700They know their market. at every field ive been to there are always those kids who have their parents filling their pods, buying their paint, and cheering them on. And they always have either all PE gear on with an ego in their hand and a flex on their head, or they are wearing all DYE gear holding a dm and wearing an i4.
Its quite humorous because most of the time the start gate/deadbox is taller than themComment

Never seen that specifically, but i have seen kids in all matching gear, either blue or red or something to play woodsball, and the only gun they have is a tippmann, or no gun at all.Originally posted by dark bladethat and the fact that little agglets love matching gear.

Socks!
I'm a big fan of socks. Back in the day when I was just starting buy my own clothes I would pick up the 10 for 10 deals not anymore. Invest in a quality pair of socks and you'll be amazed of the feel and how long they last. UA socks all the way. I wouldn't mind trying the Dye socks.Comment

You had me right there man.Originally posted by Nick28I'm a big fan of socks.
I guess I have discovered from this thread that there is something huge out there I am missing by not wearing these awesome socks since multiple people have told me $10 is cheap for a good pair of socks.
So, I will put it to the test and when I order a replacement lens for my Invision mask, I will order some dye socks and report on how they are.
Stay tuned for the stunning conclusion to this story!Comment

My socks cost more than ten dollars.
One should spend decent coin on essentials.
/don't get me started on the midgets...God....I guess I was probably returning videotapes.Comment

I do for one. But I also wear boots so ankle-socks are kind of uncomfortable. Longer socks also help with leg circulation so those long days of running over hills and trees don't fatigue your legs quite so much.Originally posted by TaCticulMerderer18who weares knee high socks for paintball anyway?Comment
