Local field? Just ask some other players (before they get all sweaty :blech: )
I see you live in Wisconsin too. So your mask requirements may be different than mine too. I live in Florida so goggs that dont fog are a must. Ive used JT's, DYE I3's and now the Grill all without any issues. I find the JT's most comfy but lens removal is a

I have a pair of older Invisions and they used to fog for me occasionally without the fan. It gets pretty humid up here too :)
That being said, the reason I looked at the I4s is that I was always fairly happy with the Invisions but the I4s do seem a bit overpriced and small and it seems like there are other options out there with a good FOV like the I4s have.
I'm half thinking I'll just replace the lens in my goggles for now though and wait it out a few more months.Comment

Yeah, that is what has really turned me off them. I took a very close range (6 feet max, probably less) hit in the visor on my Invisions this weekend and it rocked me a little bit.. I dread to think what it would've been like in I4s.
I think I might just need new lenses in my Invisions, the lens is pretty old and it's started getting pretty foggy.. I just dread changing the damn things out, it's such a headache.Comment

I love my I3 pros, they are the second set of invisions I have owned. The first set I bought when the invision line first came out in the 90's. The soft ears are nice and to me they are the most comfortable goggles I have tried on. I have a large head though. Which is one of the reasons I didn't get the I4's. I never have a problem with fogging either. This past Saturday it was around 90 degrees, with around 80% humidity and I didn't have a problem with fogging like a lot of other guys around me did.
As far as changing the lenses out, are you seperating the lower portion of the mask from the frame. It makes all the difference in the world. I can change out my lenses in about 6 minutes, and thats with giving the frames a good cleaning while I have em apart. I hear a lot of people complaining about them being difficult, but I haven't ever had a problem changing them out.
As far as woodsball in I4's goes we have a couple of guys on the team wearing them and they love em. They are just to small to fit over my 5 gallon bucket head. My suggestion is to stick with your invisions if that is what has always worked for you. Oh and I never use a fan, although I have been thinking about it. Does it help keep fresh air on your face also? I have been thinking about trying the CPU fan mod, but I would just rather find the fan that fits the invision series.Last edited by fishmishin; 08-24-2009, 10:11 PM.Comment
