I wonder if the old guard just might be combining forces
to force progress in the sport.
Would be neat, but I doubt it. Especially considering that Tippmann Sports isn't Tippmann-owned anymore, anyways. What was it, a big pharmaceutical company that bought them? I forget.
Taking that year or two away from the sport has addled the old memory banks.Comment

I was under the impression that Dennis Tippmann was still involved, just not the majority shareholded.Originally posted by Riddler236Would be neat, but I doubt it. haha i guess that diddnt come out right. i was saying hi to enos, i used to talk to him on irc and dont see him around much.
I diddnt get any info from him, the youtube video was under one of the tippmann guys channels, it wasnt under the offical one, but it wasnt exactly hidden either..lol
once you put something up online its fair game and you cant be under the assumption no one will ever see it.
i also hear rumors of tippmann perhaps adopting .43 caliber...but at this point thats just a rumor. i believe they have said they are not doing anything .50 at this time

heres a brief description
Dennis tippmann shows off the new x7 phenom(sounds like a processor doesnt it)
the new tippmann x7 base gun has some nice features like a spool valve with a spring return blow forward bolt, a regulator adjuster in the back
mechanical, and semi mode of operation
what does everyone think.
Aww hell they left out Hyper mode.

Mmm tinker porn. Thanks Tippmann for including a nice cutaway for us machinist geeks to stare at.
Actually it looks more like an Invert type of operation, balanced spool valve/blow forward. Its pretty much the same system as the TPX uses from what I can tell spraining my eyes at that image, just a rearrangement of the parts.Originally posted by insixdays777Look at the valve in this picture....its an automag.Comment

My sources say he only saw this a few days ago.Originally posted by insixdays777Ok OK...what is the real deal with this. Tom had to have helped out???
The gun is 1/8" of a game that is a FOOT long!
(...but a 'mag helps)

I'd still like to see what he has to say in regards to this "innovation"... Should we expect that soon?Originally posted by DoobieMy sources say he only saw this a few days ago.
P.S.
MagsRgreat, what about the similarities to the Emag operating system? I'm thinking about the mechanicals, hall effect sensor, etc. Also, seeing as 1987/1988 (the date can be argued) makes the Panther (early Automag) the first blowforward and Tom Kaye the inventor of the blowforward marker, I'd say that's fairly significant...
Do you in any way work for Tippmann Pneumatics or an affiliated company?Comment

I'm not sure if the Emag has a different firing sequence from the STD Mag. AGD did have those features & was the first to do so. Nobody will deny that. I due know that the Tippmann version of those features are far less complex than AGD's.
No I don't work for Tippmann, whish I did though.Comment
