How Many Players have a Small Air Compressor = 100PSI??

What about an air pump for car tires? Would that work? Might be more common then a shop compressor.

I now have the prototype mini-compressor working and on the first run it hit 4500 psi :)

Don't ask me how long it takes to fill a tank because I have not hooked one up yet. I am just filling a small fitting with a gauge on it.

Now that I can evaluate the system, some other things are coming to mind. It MAY be possible to make a single stage mini-pump that you feed with a typical shop 100 psi compressor. This would eliminate the first two stages and obviously save a ton of money.

The trick is you need to have a shop compressor so my question is, how many of you have one??

I have a couple of them. So I would really LOVE to be able to use it if it means reduced cost/smaller package. I only have the smaller ones, BUT depending on what time it takes you could get a small auto type one for a few dollars to use as long as you don't need it running too long to burn it up. That again is on the end user to work with it properly.

I don't have a shop compressor so I would be in the market for the deluxe three stage that you mention - I want air and moisture filtration.

You can buy a compressor for around $100. If I could fill my bottles at home for another $100 or so, I would totally pony up. It would be a great excuse to buy a compressor.

Just curious, would it be able to fill a scuba tank? I'm assuming it would be able to as far as pressure, just wondering if it would be able to run that long continuous and if you had a guess how long it would take?

I don't have one, but I suppose I could get one. Now the question is, what kind do I need? I really don't know too much about the differences between air compressors. I mean, doing a quick google shopping search, I found one for $65 and one for $1,100. Now, would the one for $65 do the trick, or am I just going to burn through it and need another one after a month? If I need to purchase a $400+ compressor, then yeah, I'd go with the all in one package from Tom. Though, I should probably have a decent compressor anyway, so....

I've got one that will do an easy 120. Use it to fill tires, run some air tools on occasion, and other various light jobs...
