We're looking at buying a house next year, and one of the first big garage purchases will be one of these puppies.

I would love to have one; actually I NEED one it's just not currently in the budget.Comment

People do seem to lack patience.
I didnt get one yet, I wanted to make sure all the bugs are worked out.
I dont want something I have to work on, I'm not mechanically inclined at all.
And its not a front burner must have item at least not for me, because the fields I play at have air. (read, 500 buys a lot of paint)
But I will end up with one sooner or later.

Pretty much what Luke and GH said. I want one and truthfully, it makes sense since I have to drive nearly and hour both ways to get air fills for tinkering, but it just isnt in the budget. Easier spending $30 a shot on gas each time tthan squeezing $500 past the wife.Comment

I'm in the same boat as most. 10 years ago when my friends and I were all playing rec/outlaw it would have been awesome to have. As it is now, if I want to play I need to go to a field, and they all have all day air.
For some reason I feel like I would be more inclined to buy it if it came with a couple of Scubas.Comment

Is the price point going to be the same? I'm really interested but having a hard time justifying the cost to my better half. I don't care about the fill time really, but I do like the idea of a faster model for sure.Originally posted by AGDSure everything everyone is saying makes sense. Recession doesn't help either.
We are coming out with a new model probably in July that fills twice as fast and can top off a 68/4500 in a bit less than an hour.

I just finished a university stint to upgrade myself. It set back my paintball purchases. I was looking at getting one. I can hardly wait for the new model. I will eventually be getting one for my shop.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

When I stop bringing my 3 spare tanks to the field with me to fill with air before I go home I'll be picking up a shoebox. But sadly, until those tanks die, get stolen, or I get friends who aren't cheap slobs that I have to outfit I will be sans a shoebox.
Really isn't a bad deal for 550 (the new one) especially if your paying your local proshop to fill your tanks. You especially can justify some savings if you switch from CO2 to HPA and use this.Comment
