    AGD going out of business???

This message is for anyone with any informative knowledge...

I'm new to the sport and a new automag owner. I have read many players reviews and talked to several players and the general consensus is that mags are great and well built guns. However, I get conflicting responses from store owners. Many store owners question why I would want to purchase an AGD marker since "...AGD is going out of business". They feel that AGD has not done anything new in the last 5-6 years and have made many retail store owners upset with a sudden disappearance from the market. Some have even said that they will not buy AGD markers any more because they "got burned". Is this true and why is there such a discrepancy between players and store front owners? This, I believe, has implications for me, because I am finding it hard to find good parts for my mag from local pb stores (I have to go online to find parts).

I want to know what store told you that and I will call them directly. I am so sick of hearing this I am going to find out who is spreading these rumors. I am seeing red right now because even though we have the largest gun forum on the net these guys remain clueless and think we don't exist. You as a new player can find us easier than the people in the business.

I guess your "store owner" must have missed the Warp Feed being held by Bob Long on the cover of PGI. He probably has never seen an Emag let alone Manny shooting his in a full page pic in Facefull. Probably never heard of Shocktech either and what the heck is an SFL??

Probably has no idea you can intellifeed a mechanical gun "that's imposible or you would see it on a cocker!" Those are sage words of wisdom for sure. Can you say "Intelliframe??" Try hard Mr Store Owner I know you can do it.

I'm sure he doesn't have a 4500 Flatline on order, or any plastic nubbins. Probably not on the AGD Research Team that directed the design of the C&C Extreme because you would have to be a member of this forum to do that.

One thing I'll bet though is that he has some great guns that once you buy them he can keep you coming back for more accessories. Got to love those accesories because without them stores can't stay in business, so keep 'em comin back for more ACCESSORIES and the world will keep turning.

So when you go back to that store only bring half your money to buy a gun, then you can spend the other half making it better and keeping that store in business.

    Still in business here at,

    AGD

ps I am sorry but sometimes I just have to vent when I read this. I certainly don't mean this for all the great stores that carry our stuff. An educated customer is our best asset, make sure you get your education from more than one place. I am the president of AGD and answer questions here daily, if you can find another gun manufacturer that does this for their customers please buy their marker.

here in tallahassee there are . . .

only two real stores, one of them is definitely pro mags, the other one is a cocker shop. the cocker shop has had some facts backwards regarding agd and their products in the past... it would be really cool if someone could set them straight. I've tried but they don't listen to me.

There is no real bias against mags at either of the fields though, for the most part the tourney players don't care and the younger tourney players and newbies are all impressed if you own anything that's not a spyder clone or tippman, and if it's pretty they're twice as impressed. :)

At least take to heart agd that those of us here know what your products can do and some of what your company is about. I at least am trying to make sure that the facts are straight when people ask me questions. I'm sure other AO'ers do that too.

          giant
being tall is good, except when you're the last one on your team and stuck behind the smallest bunker on the field.

BWAHAHAHA! lay the smack down on that guy. "hello mr store owner. this is TOM KAYE!" then go into your rant about him not noticing any of the new products you're putting out. i wouldn't be surprised if he drops the phone and runs away.

I for one am ready to trade my mag...FOR AN EMAG! I got talked out of buying a cocker when I was upgrading from my F-2 illustrator in like 96. Guess what, I was talked into a crown point power feed mag. Guess what gun I am still shooting today? Same mag. Guess how many times I sent it to AGD to get it repaired? ZERO I dont have any fancy stars on my vavle, no need for them in my opinion. (knock on wood...dangit jinxed my self now I bet need a retro valve anyway)

I love AGD, y'all put out some nice gear, not only nice but verrrry dependable. I am going to the store tonight with my brother to buy a Mag for him. Keep up the good work EVERYONE at AGD. I am new to this forum, but I am loving it here!

Didn't you hear? AGD has a gold mine on its property. As soon as they dig it all out they are buying WDP and melting the Angels down into something useful - like body rails for Emags.

                          Mr. Kaye

The two shops that are in town here dont carry AGD products either. I dont know what the hell these guys are thinking. But I haven't herd them say anything negative about AGD. We'll see what they say when I start bringing my gun in to their shop and start playing their feild.

                          peace

Im unsure if Mr. Kaye read my comments on marketing and dealer confidence before since I did not recieve a reply but this is exactly what im talking about.

CUSTOMER: Hey what do you think of AGD.
OWNER: ( OH NO if this person buys reliable high quality marker like a Automag I will never be able to sell him on all the aftermarket overpriced stuff that you can get for those other markers and he wont be in here as much for repair work that I can charge him for. ) There no good, real low quality stuff. Besides I hear there going out of business. How about this ANGEL (HA HA he will be back in a month for a new circuit board )
