i don't have the specs, but i used that very same barrel on my emag FOR YEARS and it was sweet! i'm not a big beleiver in the bore size myth...paintballs, by their very nature, will never be uniform enough(when the average case is in consideration) for all this bore sizing stuff.

          arn't these streight rifled?

steer clear of anything besides smooth tight bores on automags, your effienecy will go to **** otherwise.

Shooting something open bolt isn't a big deal with big bores. But for someone that shoots something that isn't open bolt, having a small bore does make a difference. Trying to be a smart *** and you sound stupid.

He's not being a smartass towards you. There aren't any mainstream production closedbolt markers currently other than pumps... Even dating back a few years other than 'cockers and excals there wasn't much out there. Nobody denies the exceptional advantage of a small bore with a closed bolt. I think he was pointing that comment more at some "experts" who leave out a few key factors when reaching their "scientific" conclusions about overboring and underboring.

Oh...well...in that case I take it back then. I just figured you were being a smart ***.

nope. if you would have took a moment and thought about my reply, instead of trying to flame me for being a smart a**, you would have seen the point i was trying to get across. but ya did'nt...
no worries. i've only been playing the game since 1984, and only had about, oh, lets see...100 barrels. but what do i know?

Doesn't mean you can't be rude. Saying it how you did, made it sound like I was trying to be a "expert". Which I wasn't. But whatever.

i also don't beleive a longer barrel means longer range. i like a 9" barrel. and never longer. but then again, i'm probobly one of the last "if i don't think i can hit the target, i won't waste a rope of paint trying" kind of player...gettin old...

I always get the giggles when I see the 14 and 16 inch barrels on the field, especially in woodsball. I've never really shot anything longer than a 12 myself. Most of my guns run 10 inch barrels. But then again I've only been playing for 22 years, so what do I know.

i've tested under controlled conditions over 100 barrels ... what do i know? owned? i think we counted once what we currently had, it was damn near 250 barrels. in my 10 years of playing, gotta be over 400 barrels total.

on an automag, its always good to underbore. i can pull an extra pod out of a 68/45 no problem which gets my mags up to somewhat decent efficency, with a nice .003 underbore. the consistency gain is nice, but the efficenecy is killer on a gun like an automag.

rifling of any type not only does not work for accuracy, but it also allows even more air then your typicaly overbore to blow by, further hurting efficenecy. steer clear.

have not seen any of your so called testing in any scientific journal. Thus your back yard, bedroom videos mean squat.

I prefer shooting 12 inch barrels myself, but most of the nicer barrels that I like don't come in anything smaller than 14 inches. Though I refuse to use anything longer than that.
