    Emag 2.0

Project not so long in the making but its been in my head for 2 years now.

    ULT on/off
    UTB
    S-10-50 solenoid
    9v battery

    some pics

    Solenoid comparison

    Nut for Solenoid

    Test fire
embed didn't work (click on it to view)

The solenoid bounces around a little, this will go away when I put the other panel on, and I need a better way of connecting the plunger and the sear arm, just have a bent paper clip right now so it too is sloppy also I need to locktite the sear arm you can see the Plunger turn some.

9V tested at 9.06 when I started video and was 9.02 after the test fire, I'm sure I wont get "months of play time" off one 9v like the normal emag pack, plan on getting a 9.6v rechargeable lithium battery on amazon for 19$ and should be good to go!

here is the link for the noid

Tubular Pull Type Solenoid, 1.00 in (25.4mm) LENGTH x 0.50 in (12.7mm) DIAMETER, MSS S-10-50

the sear arm for the plunger was home made on a grinder and drill press.

        That is pretty awesome!

I'd like to see how many shots are you get to the 9v after you play with it a bit. Is the nut commercial off the shelf?

Curious to see what you come up with for the battery housing...

Awsome, i like this. Saves on weight to.

The dimensions of that noid are close to a MPA-3 pneumatic ram. It would be interesting to see if they make a push type. It could maybe be fit in an intelli frame to trip the sear horizontilly.

What? Someone with some skills/ability is going to develop and sell, at a reasonable price, a drop-in kit to turn an Intelliframe'd Mag into a sleeper Emag?

(thought I'd plant that little seed just in case anyone hadn't thought of it)

anything to get away from those bulkey clapper noids.

Edit: You may need a capacitor on that noid for high rates of fire to maintain voltage. Its a power hog.

the Nut comes with the noid

the cap and 9v fit into a standard Emag battery case with some foam to keep them from bouncing around.

I have plans to fit Everything into the emag grip frame...

I think it may be time for some enterprising dude to redesign an Emag foregrip...

I have the capacitor that comes with the utb on there right now you can see it in the video, think its a 6800 uf

I only had 1k psi in my tank when I did the test fire, ill see what the board is set too and up the bps and see at what point you start to get shoot down

You definitely need to change that cap out like we talked about in PMs. You will notice a huge difference in the rate of fire on the high end by 2-3 shots per second. BigEvil figured this out when he bought a UTB from me last year. There was a noticeable difference in the rate of fire due to the battery having more time to recover.

A few questions. WHy are you using a UTB with the new noid? Could the stock emag board work with the new noid? I dont see why it wouldn't. Aslo do you have to use a ULT with the new noid or does the new noid not have enough force to push a emag on/off?

As for the sleeper emag, One would think that this would be a farly easy mod for anyone that has done pnue mods. Iwould like to know how much force those noids have.

The OEM board wont work with a battery lower than 14v due to the LBI built into the circuit. You must use a board other than the OEM if you want to use 9v.
