I've been researching the barrel kit thing for a bit, and I was actually looking to invest in a new one but I am torn about which to get. I was interested in tech-t's iFit system because you can just screw it into an existing barrel, but it's only like 2 inches of fit.
I assumed the only way to get the best accuracy is to have a full barrel length matched to the paint bore, not just a small insert or something. What makes just the inserts more accurate even being so much shorter? The ball can still bounce around in the barrel from the air turbulence while being fired after the ball has passed the fitted portion of the barrel, so is a short insert really as effective as people say?
I want some opinions on the barrel kits that you have used, maybe see if it really does matter which one works best or if an internally polished stock barrel is just as good.
