Granted, I have only put paint through it in my back yard, it still fires nicely. Thinking about hooking it up to my SHP reg and surprising someone the next time I go out and play...

With that said, I also am not exactly a hardcore bunker diving kind of player. Partially because I am 44yrs old, partially because I don't want to scratch my gear. lol. I don't know that you could hang a car from it or anything, but who really does that?

      Stock AM Rail Weight

What is the stock weight of a AM rail? I can't figure out how impressed to be with the weight savings, ha.

First off, the newest one is made with an RTP sear, and I dont actually have a stock one of those to measure. I can say that a stock AM rail is 4.65 ozs.

This is a RTP rail, not an Automag rail as OPBN stated, I dont think a lighter one has ever been done.
The stock RTPro rails weighs 7.5 ounces.

If you really want to know, look up the weight specs on both materials and figure the percentage difference.

Do you or are you gonna make an R/T length version of that rail? I may put down my dreams of finding a thrasher for that.

I do plan on putting out some rails after I get feedback on the sear pin. I plan on moving away from modding AGD rails, so yea it's probable.

Well I need to get that zayan request in soon. I know there's more money in making you own rail but probably more liability too. Just something to think about, not killing ur dream.

                              Light.

On a serious note, if I get a chance at some point to pull apart 3-4 markers to get some sort of weight I will. The RED CF marker up above IIRC weighed 1.544lbs. Even with a Intelli, I would say it would still be under 2lbs.

Did I give you enough room on the fg slot to line up the front of the rail and the asa?
