These issues come full circle every few years in the paintball community. A person or company develops a good reputation, takes on more work than they can possibly handle in a reasonable time period and end up crawling under a rock to hide (usually with people's hard earned money or gear). Gruntbull, Coolhand/Logic, Gforce, Mongoose/VenomousDesigns, Even PTP as of recently come to mind.

Mario @ FX is certainly doing great work now but I often wonder how long till he's in over his head as well.
Everything I got back from him was great... In fact, only a handful of people actually got screwy items back, and even then most were markers like Shockers and Axes and Fockers which were made from terrible quality aluminum. Most of the complaints from PBN stemmed from impatience (people who were quoted "minimum 2 months" and couldn't wait) and other anodizers trying to drum up business for themselves.

I contacted arnold to see about getting my phoenix emag done in acid red....they want $290
Price breakdown.....55 to strip, 150 to polish/anodize and $85 for the custom color.
Pretty expensive but i bet they do 1st rate work

                        Im confused
If its polished, what's with the charge - strip & polished ?
Maybe Arnold means he has to buff out all the milling marks? Make them smooth before it hits the bath?
If there's many "step's" involved ,then that equals labor , which = $cash$
If its a red/black or red /whatever acid wash then
$290 is still a good price ,regardless of how you break it down

and you are correct , quality (1st rate work) is going to always wind up bieng more money
Unless the guy doing the 1st rate job ,doesnt know what his work is worth

So i heard back from Ano-tech as well, another yes! they quoted a price of $200 and a turnaround time of 2 weeks. I have yet to touch base with Arnold on the phone, but perhaps tomorrow i will to get the price and turnaround from Arnold's.
