    No. It's machined to spec.

That is a LPR grip. The hole would be for an airline going to the valve.

no, on the grip frame. There are the 3 screw holes but then the 4th looks like access for a sear reset after a degas?

It's a peep hole over the sear leg and ram. Probably wont make the final version, I just wanted one for myself.

wasn't there some talk a while back about making a pump mag with a shrouded pump handle that looked like a nitro duck? this seems like the perfect candidate, cosmetically. it's probably a nightmare idea in terms of engineering, though

I don't recall that conversation but once the dust settles with the initial snags of getting a new project off the ground I'll start working on the engineering for a pump mag on this platform. Way too much going on at this point to even start contemplating it.

I don't care for this body, but people calm down. Its not like designing, manufacturing, testing, tweaking, producing a body is as easy as a snap of the fingers. Give him time to do this. The impatience about this is a bit disconcerting. Even a simple design, may take an hour to mill, which does not take into the set up time, making sure its true to the machine, replacing coolants, changing tools, etc and so forth.

You need to learn how to crawl, before you can walk and then run. Give the man some time to get a wprking, shooting prototype before you think about a mod of this. Lightning might strike and destroy everytbing of Luke's. I am sure that when they are ready, he will let people know so he can literally take money for them.

                      Update:

The past week has shown positive results with preliminary testing. I've spent the majority of the last 7 days dialing in the new detent. The first 3 designs were failures, I actually scraped the idea for about 24 hours then after sleeping on it decided to tackle it again with major redesign. Spent all weekend machining and designing, finally got a solid design that passed preliminary testing with flying colors. All my initial concerns with the over all concept have been squashed so were down to final tweaking and testing.

The body has been tested with air and a small amount paint, currently we seem to be on point. The hidden sear pin and hidden detent designs are performing nicely and I'm currently (extremely) happy with the design over all. I do have to make a few small adjustments in various areas so I need to machine one final prototype of the entire body assembly so I can do some extensive testing before we go to production.

A little added bonus, I've also found a few more areas to shave a tad more weight, probably only talking grams but it all adds up in the end.

Glad to hear you got the hidden detent and sear figured out. That is my favorite feature of the body.

Ironic since them are the only things I'm not a huge fan of. Proprietary setup.

None the less. How many detents will this marker have? A single one? Or dual? I'm still sitting right on the line of purchasing one of these.

Why not? The sear pin is an off the shelf part and will be available 100 years after AGD closes it's doors.
Not sure why you're stuck on the status quo, just because the new body is not machined for Angel detents does not mean it can't be. The Angel detent in general has it's own flaws and isn't actually designed to exact standards for the AM body in my opinion. Not to mention people think they need two of them to do the job that one should be able to handle. I'm not exactly interested in duplicating something just because it's the easiest and quickest route to bring a product to market. I believe I have a superior detent all around and it's basically going be free with the body, that includes the new sear pin and the supporting hardware, all free.

The detent should never wear out over the lifetime of the marker and is rebuild-able if you actually wear out the spring. If you feel the spring is to weak, the basic spring profile is available in a dozen different strengths WELL above anything you would ever need. And all the available off the shelf springs can be installed without having to modify the body or detent. If you're that worried about not having a detent 20 years down the road buy a few extras now. If I ever ducked out of the industry I would most likely make the specs public in order to support my customers. I've been around a long time and have invested a grip of cash into my shop, I've maintained my business through the biggest downturn in the paintball industry why would you assume I would be closing the doors anytime soon?

You're making assumptions about the design when the actual details have not been released. I have no intention of releasing something new if the performance is anything less than what's currently being used. The changes I've made will actually cost me money and time. I could just follow suit, do nothing different and add more expenses to a basic build instead of reducing them by selling body kits rather than just a body. The intent with the direction of this project is that with a "body kit" all you need is lowers, I would call this a win for my customers.

This question leads me to think you're making assumptions that a single won't be enough. The only reason people add an extra detent to the AGD platform is because they think a single is not enough. It's silly to assume this new detent will automatically be designed to the same exact specifications and therefor subject to the same failures as what's currently available.

Bottom line is it either performs or it doesn't, but that should be based on it's own merit not that of a product made by a different manufacturer.

Completely agree. Definitely a step in the right direction!

I am tempted to pick one up just to support that movement, but the blockiness doesn't tickle my fancy. I hope it sells well though; fantastic work!
