PyshoMag: how are you playing 15-45 for a case of paint? i've never seen anything that inexpensive.

Psychomag: gloat away darn you its nice to be sposored and have connections.

Anyway, there are a number of BYOP fields and relatively cheap fields around NJ if you know where to go. ABC has BYOP and mag59459 by the sound of it, thats where you are playing. Gino's Golf and Paintball (National's field) and Del Hobbies supposedly are pretty cheap and have airball. Roughneck I believe is mostly for teams, dunno much about On Target, but then of course theres FBM's super sundays (BYOP and the field paint is pretty cheap also) Basically the only two expensive fields around here are Paintball Depot, which kinda stinks anyway, and Top Gun. Top Gun is another story though, if you go there, just think of your $$$ as paying homage to the man who legalized paintball in NJ :)

Well with my reffing discounts I payed only $47 for a case of Anarchy(some of the best paint Ive shot), and its normally just like $60 or so. The other field around here has Bigball for $60, PMI for $65, and Marbs, ElTigre, AllStar, and Slam for $73(I think these prices are right), but Ive never seen $100 a case! I'd have to crap my pants if I had to pay $100 a case!

            ENDO!

I'm with cliffio, if i know i'm going to have a good day of paintball, shoot good quality paint, and have good quality ref's that are going to keep up on cheaters/wiping/etc., i i wouldn't mind paying higher prices. My field, i pay 65 dollars for diablo blaze, and that's with my discount. The paint is so bad. For the most part i have decent days, but trying to keep this paint consistant is rediculous. I've taken a handful of about 5 paintballs and tried blowing them through the freak and had a varation of .684-.689. It's so bad. Not to mention most of the refs suck at my field. Most of them just don't care cause they really don't take care of the refs there. Another portion of them are just new and thrown into some tuff reffing jobs. My first day reffing i had to ref a private group of 20 people by myself. I've talked to others that said they were thrown in a group of 50+ with just one other ref. That's tough. Being the only field on the island, it sux that they get away with it.

We are pretty lucky here in Delaware I guess. I have 2 fields within 30 minutes apart. 1 is field paint only and charges $65 for a case of 32 degrees paint on the field. The other one, Splat Zone is field paint only too but you can buy the paint at the shop cheaper and use it on the field. Proball (my favorite) is like $60 in shop and $75 on the field. I buy at the shop. Field fees are $15 at both places with own equipment.

Yeah high field paint charges suck but thats how some fields make profit and are able to stay open. I dont mind FPO if its a brand I know and trust and they keep them fresh. There is a field in my area that has a 500 rnd buy in or $15 if you bring your own paint. Their paint prices are slightly higher but not too bad. Occasionally, I play at a field right next to this one that doesnt require FPO. Their price is slightly cheaper for a case but their field is a bit smaller too.

Man, i take a look at the paint prices and i don't think you're getting ripped, then i realize its all in US funds.
                      Bloody Canadian currency.

I usually get paint for 100case, but thats in Canadian funds. So around 60US.

But, there's only 1 field, and 1 store in my area so they could charge whatever the hell they wanted and i'd have to pay, or drive for a few hours.

at my field it's $58 a case for big ball, $50/case if you buy two or more. $5 field fee and $15 for all day air (nitro) and $10 for co2.

Hopefully my field will take off once we get our 2 new hyperball and our new sup'air field up.

where I play is $15 field fee and $70/case for cheap nelson.

however. It's indoor and I appreciate that the proshop people don't try to BS me (or the newbies). If they don't know, they'll say it. And I've never witnessed 'em lying to a kid to make a sale.

Besides, occasionally the owner buys us cases of anarchy and gives em to the refs and certain players for free

AND due to the conversations yours truely has initiated, he's gonna start carrying AGD markers! Gotta love it!

Wow thanks for making this post! I will sleep better tonight knowing there is another paintballer in nj who thinks field prices are out of hand. The guy that runs ABC is a big jerk by the way. Sorry, had to get that off my chest.
