Paintball is still a underground sport. The only thing that will change that, is publicity.

Frankly I'm not scared of the mothers against paintball playing. There has been a ban on skateboarding in my town for nearing five years. Hasn't stopped anyone.

I don't want little kids playing, i don't want scared people playing, and i don't want weak people playing; because when im on the field, and i need to bunker someone to move up, im going to keep shooting until someone gets called out, or puts their hands over their head. I'd rather it not be a ten year old im lighting into.

Little kids have no place in this sport, unless they are playing other little kids. Just like you don't put pee-wee players on a high school football team. If this video makes a ten year old's mom scared, good, it should. Don't let ten year old bobby play with the big boys becuase he WILL get hurt.

Hey Everyone,

If I was driving in my car and heard the show, I would think, "What are they doing to this poor guy?" I don't know anything about paintball, a little more than I did a few weeks ago but not very much. When I listed to the video, it sounded like he was dying a very painful death. But, being an adult, I honestly would not form an opinion about the sport without further educating myself on it first. But that's me, others may not be as open minded. They might form an opinion based solely on what they heard and nothing else.

I'm not sure how the radio show went, if there was an announcement about what was going to happen, what type of gun was used, whether or not protection was used etc. We have crazy radio shows here that do stuff like that to promote stuff. (To promote a brand of roller blades, they had an intern roller blading down the side of a mountain with traffic). Everyone listening knows the style of the show and knows they do stuff like that, but we also know that they would never put anyone in real danger. The whole thing was a stunt and every precaution was taken to ensure their saftely. We hear the screams and yells but we know the person is safe. I'm sure that's the case with most radio shows. People know they're all about ratings. I don't think there's an accurate way to portray anything on a radio show, but it kindv'e puts it out there so people know it exists.

In my humble opinion, I think it could go either way. It really depends on the individual and how they view it. No matter how you portray something 10 different people are going to have 10 different views. There's no way to please everyone. If mistakes were made, learn from them for the next time. It's all in perception, and that's something you have no control over no matter how hard you try.

For me, I'm still thinking about whether or not I'm going to play. The video didn't deter me. I don't want to be that close to anyone with a paintball gun and will probably wear my best running shoes LOL but I would still play.

rag on me all you like, but i have seen my share of life, and im a history major so i do know how our republic has gotten so messed up that now the minority always seems to rule while the majority sit around and cry about it. Personally when i get graduated from college im headin to europe, where common sence seems to rule not PC. maybe i am to younge to understand, and maybe one day i will not be "white trash" in your eyes, but truth be told i could care less. This nation has lost the sence and drive that made it what it is. I do have the sence to know whats going on around me, from our witch hunt for "terrorists" who happen to be anyone who this nation dose not like. I understand that bush is the biggest tool this nation had ever seen. I know that it is better to fight for your rights then cater to the lobbiest groups who would have you lead whatever life THEY think best. yeah im simple white trash but i have never longed to be anything buy, life as we have come to know it is so full of work in cubicals and offices, work work work then die....not the life for me. so while you feel its best to just go with the rest of the minority who will be the ones cryin about this event (because the majority will know it was a stunt, and turd agreed to it knowing what he was gonna get into) then fine, but when they ban paintball anyways because YOU never questioned there decision making tactics, and YOU just followed instead of getting pised then dont cry a friggin river...if you play the game by their rules, you will lose its that simple.

Heck even my grandma knows what it is and the last time the called it ping pong to me was 3 years ago. With so many people involved in paintball i don't think we have to worry about it getting banned.

People can do tons of stupid stuff with paintball guns and it will still have an even bigger following. Im not saying misusing guns doesn't have its down falls but i think we should stop getting so upset about this when the players are the ones that matter and not the gov't listening to overprotective mothers.

Erm, I think you will be sorely dissapointed if that's what you are looking for here. PC is very much in effect here and I would say more so than what I know of the USA.

In England you are not allowed to own any hand guns. Yes that's right ANY, not even for target shooting. A huge number of people in this country owned hand guns (more than played paintball that's for sure) and yet they had a reaction to one shooting and banned them all outright! did you miss that bit? Yes BANNED them ALL outright! You think paintball is safe in this PC world? Geeze you have to be kidding me. Wake up before reality bites.

You are only allowed a rifle if you can prove you have the land and use for it, not many can. You can have a shotgun but you have to go through a lot of regulations and prove how safe you can keep it. You can not legally have it lying around, it must be kept in a locked safe box. If you use it on someone on your own property you are likely to go to jail and they will get compensation! A farmer is currently in jail for shooting a burglar who broke into his property because he shot him in the back (it was dark he just pulled the trigger)

Germany has been through a nightmare trying to keep paintball legal. It has been banned there and they are still having difficulties playing anywhere but American bases.

Paintball is illegal in Ireland. It used to be in Scotland and I'm still not certain wether it is legal or not there now. I know for a long time they were working to change the laws.

FA paintball markers are quite probably illegal here which if it got proved in court could lead to a lengthy jail sentence. And everytime there is an incident we have to put up with the 'knee jerk' reaction idiots who want to ban this sport.

As soon as a marker shoots more than one pull per trigger or over 320fps it theoretically falls into the definition of a Fire Arm here and that has a huge penalty.

I'd like to point out that the internet and what is made available on it is NOT just about America. I get annoyed by the closed minded view that your rights are the only ones that could be at risk and that you have constitutional rights blah blah blah. Such things as this could easily be used to help keep paintball banned in Ireland and to ban it in other European countries, including England. The internet is bigger than your country, as is this issue.
