    Well Said Si...

/me nods in agreement with Manike.

Although in some peoples eyes Europe seems liberal and non-PC, I can assure you that the opposite is increasingly true.

Once a serious paintball-related incident occurs, there will be a huge ban-paintball backlash that could hurt us all.

    Cheers

    Jan.

PS. I beleive it's a case of WHEN and not IF such an event occurs.

hardrock, it's amazing how I can agree with almost everything in your second post but absolutely nothing in your first one. But this country is run by corporations and their "special interest groups"- not liberals, who can at times be just as bad (10 degrees to the left of center in good times, 10 degress to the right when it affects them personally).

        Why cry over spilt milk

People debating over these things cracks me up. It has already been posted, and therefor is already out roaming about the public. Anyone who listens to ManCow in the first place knows he randomly does painful crap to Turd anyways! Personally I cant stop laughing at the video, I have it on loop! And as for the people who will use the video as ammo against the sport, with all due respect, if they really want to get rid of it, they will find something to throw at it, with the video posted or not. Calm down and laugh it up!

eh, my first post was more outta anger than anything else, i know the illusions of freedom all to well. i guess i learned a lil about europe tho well maybe its off to nothern canada then...heck if theres no one for 800miles execpt me im pretty free to do what i want . but the truth is that somehow the majoritys desires have been lost to the minoritys cries. For example, in australia the mojority of people WERE gun owners so how was it in their best interst for a ban? now your gonna tell me its safer and im gonna laugh at you. Germany just had an incident very much like colombine and guns are illegal there, dident stop anything. im just sick of law after law telling me how to live my life, George W had his own life and i dont tell him how to live it...is not a country where the elite wealthy and political families, who are a minority, and repersent a minority, rule fashist(sp?)? now paintball is a minority group, but i dont agree with lobbying and crap i belive in a loud mouth and firm stance. you asked what i thought about this and frankly its a joke if you take it as more your life must really blow...
Tom was the last of a now extinct breed, a breed of players who build a community, a breed of owners who gave to the sport never taking more than what they deserved. I hope to see you at the feild again some day....

2000Sabre. Please re-watch the clip. It quite clearly states, right at the very begining that this is nothing more than an on-air promo stunt and that the "illegal marker" is "for demonstration only".

Whitout turning this into a flame we also need to be careful of the risks posed to the sport by those within the ranks who are to afraid to let all aspects of this sport get out into the light.

                Is our game violent? Yes.
Do we use "guns" to "shoot" out opponents? Yes.
Does thismake us want to go out to the nearest bell tower and start thining out the local population? OF course not and anyone who says it does needs a check-up from the neck up!

Face it Sabre, everyone loves violence. Why do baseball viewings for a specific team go up for a few games after a bench clearing brawl? Why do people watch two grown men (and now women) beat themselves senseless over a belt and a purse (boxing)? How has Vince McMahon made a multi-million dollar empire with large, musclar men in tight fitting clothing? Why do people slow down just a little bit at the side of an accident on the road? Why do people watch NASCAR? Because it's the only place you have the chance to see a 26 car pile up with multiple roll-overs and a fuel fire without actually being part of it.

Violence sells man. Right alongside sex.

Baseball seems to be the great equalizer here so lets take a REALLY close look to some of baseballs early greats.

Babe Ruth - womanizer, drunk, abusive. Everyone still remebers him as a great slugger.
Ty Cobb - Jeez. Don't even get me started with this pearl. Drunk, womanizer, gambler, drunk, abusive, drunk, racist, drunk, thief, oh, did I say drunk? Yet he is still remebered as one of the greatest players of all time.
Look at the 80's Mets. Alcoholics, drug users, gang-bangers and rapists but everyone still loves them.

Exactly how many times has Darryl Strawberry been arrested for drug possesion? Probably on par with Rob Downey Jr but everyone still loves him.

Let someone who wants to "degrade" paintball bring this clip out. It has a perfectly understandable disclaimer at the begining and all throughout shows a perfect example of understanding of safety. I'm not worried.

Return to the free market. Get rid of all government regulations and let society make it's own decisions. Time and again the relaxing of government regulations has increased profits, innovation and the economy.
