I know the store has to make some profit to pay for the tanks and labor, and then some, but this isn't a field, just a store. I don't know if that makes any difference, just saying that.

      Scuba fills

Aren't SCUBA tanks measured in Cubic Feet vs Cubic Inches for HPA tanks?

Well if anyone has a Divers Outlet near them, they fill scuba tanks for $1.95, but do not, let me say that again, DO NOT tell them it is for paintball.

The lawyers for the company advised against filling for paintball, there is some legal issue.

I don't have data for the average volume of a scuba tank, so I would like to know what the average number of fills you could get out of a scuba tank when charging, say, a 68/3K tank.
HP fills at my local shop are a buck, so I am curious to see what would be more economical.
I may get a tank/fill station anyways for those fields withough HP filling capabilities.

soem of the scuba stores and insurance companies throw a fit its mostly cause they dont understand paintball much like at one time paintball didnt understand compressed air. my bro is dive certified he said paintball players are like pillows to thier tanks compared to the treatment scuba divers give thier tanks. he said the insurance companies should only let them fill for paintball and not for diving if they knew what its really like.

4$ for an 80 all places ive been in MI plus having a good supply of air at home and ready worth the investment for sure

RX2, go to this thread to see what I had to say about the scuba thing, I am too lazy to type it all again

Paintball Talk is the main forum for Automags.org. Here is where we talk about the sport of paintball in general and make announcements relating to the forum and website.

It's about 5bucks canadian to fill a SCUBA tank in my area, i believe. I'm in the midst of buying one so i called around.

The one dive shop guy told me "alot" of guys come in with their tanks for paintball, he didn't seem to have any legal probs.

The local place i go to will fill your HPA tank for free while you play. I'm happy for that.
