I wasnt saying he should get out of his ban, i saw what he posted and it wasnt that bad, i only saw the cookie thing however. I just thought maybe he would like the chance to clear something up instead of having a bad rep because he deliberately disobeyed a mod.

I have to agree with Manike, Shartley and Cphilip, we have to keep this a family show

Common sense is a natural born gift and should be used wisely. It is best that this was used as an example and delt with in a proper manner so others will take heed in the moderators actions. If everyone has the notion that the forums can be used as a free for all I think you would see less of an audience here.

As for Jonno we still love you .... just have more common sense and do as the moderators ask. They are here for a reason.

Hahah "his side of the story", I love it! For once mods have done what was needed, and there are still people crying to give him the chance to weasel his way out of it. He did the crime- let him do the time. 5 Days of not posting on AO gonna kill him? Maybe he should get off the computer and play outside..

People, i am not saying let him weasel out. How would you like it, if you killed someone, but a rumor went around about you killing him because you were racist. Wouldnt you want a chance to clear it up, even though you were going to be found guilty?

He's got a pretty sad life if 5 days of not being allowed to post on this forum is a big problem. That's not even a real punishment as he can still come on and read the posts. I could see 30 days being a drag but not 5.

Ok my final words on this subject.

The reason this is here is to generate some thought and discussion. It's doing that. YOu may comment all you want on how YOU would do it but you are not me. But I am always glad to listen. However some of your points are totaly without merit. Final decission rests with us. I do not do this lightly or without thought and alwaays seek input from the other Mods and Admins.

This member is a repeat offender and should realy be banned for good. He has recently suffered a temp ban just a few weeks back. So my decission to give him one final chance can and will meet some critisism. Even from the other Mods. So be it.

He says he deleted it and did not as you can clearly see. My guess is all he did was take it out of his signature and not bother to go delete the uploaded one on the thread. But he did come back that morning and post another one so he saw his original one was still there. Then he came back and told me it was gone the day before when it was right up above his. Sorry that's BS. If you follow the posting times in the threads you will see that he is lying.

And he is not banned from chat where he and I started to discuss it but he persisted in his complaining and denials. he still has access to chat.

So I think this thread served a good purpose although a few of you just do not get it. Probably the same ones who will end up in the same position that he is some day.
