Calling all AO Graphics gurus

i am having a banner made for shatnerball.

and i need the AO logo made into vector format for printing.

anyone please help.

Wait, Shartley, I hope you aren't suggesting that source art files are actually available for certain endeavors.....That's just crazy talk. You should know that art files must be completely rebuilt for each and every application

:/ I dunno - call me crazy - but does Nike put out thier logos etc in vector format for people to just print away with? OK - not a great example as a swoosh takes 1 min to make in Illustrator.

But heres my beef - if you make high res logos/vector based images just out there and available - then you are basically allowing anyone and everyone to pervert and profit off of your brand. I know AGD doesnt care if people put the AGD or the Automags.org graphics on a team banner. But what about maybe an unlicenced shirt with questionable language? Or edible underwear?

EVERY company that works to make a brand - fights to keep it. By allowing every tom, dick, and harry to copy your brand and apply it to go knows what, you loose control of what your product is assocciated with. You loose control of the quality of goods the brand is placed on. And you loose control of the brand all together.

I know Tom authorizes certain projects - but to just make files available is not neccessarily in thier best interest.

If you do a little looking you will find that the origianl minimag and RT pdfs have a vector based logo.

Well spoken shartley! I was going to mention the same points. How many people use the intel inside logo! Given enough time and the proper programs any logo can be cut croppped and clearified to say whatever you wanted it to say.

Yeah, they may make a billboard with a half naked chick behind a hopper! We know how AGD wants to protect its image.
