Ah... so it's 5000 not 500 rounds.

I played a scenario game with a team the is sponsored by GetReal. They had a couple of AT-4's (the AR-15 carbine look-alikes). While they are very cool looking, and they do seem to be fairly accurate when they shoot, they had a lot of trouble keeping them shooting. The magazines only hold a few rounds (25 I think), although they do make a version that has an adapter on it that allows you to attach the feeder of your choice next to the magazine. None of this team used the adapters so I don't know if it helps very much.
They did, however, break tons of paint with this set-up, both in the marker (i.e., breach and barrel), and in the magazines themselves. Talk about a hideous mess. The marker is not really set up for any type of quick field strip or take-down, and once they chewed paint, that was pretty much the end of it without a serious trip off-field for a heavy duty cleaning.
In my opinion, the best use for these markers is for serious police/military training situations like CQB. I can't really get too enthused about them for any for of actual paintball, whether rec, scenario, or tourney.Comment

I got one in 1998. The first gen AT series of gun when ATS bought the TS1 design from Tagline. It was a major pain in the but, took me a good year to get it fully working. (they key was switching to a Maxflow).
Since then i have had zero failures. Zero as in no ball breaks in the breach, barrel or clip. The sizers work as advertised. The gun is spot on accurate. On full auto i can put everysingle ball in the same splatch at 100ft. I have not had a single problem in over 10 cases of paint fired.
There are two great things about the gun. The feed system when it worked but also its autococking system. It is an autococking nelson valve, but the three way is triggered by a collar on the ram. Very ingenious.Comment
