?Your Opinion Of This Gun?

Personally I Have a mag(the best) but i have a friend that is also into paintball and he was trying to pick out his second gun.He stared with a spyder(like most of us) and now is looking for a sniper gun. He was looking at the M3 Patriot Sniper and was looking for an opinion. So What do you guys think?

ok,is it me, or does every one who is new to the sport wanna be a sniper? i remember wanting to be, then i played speedball and said f sniping, this is my calling. Tell him to get a mag. No marker is realy betther for "sniping" just tell him to sell the sniper and get either a mag or a cocker. the black dragun is just another sniper, no real difference in performance.

eh, tell him if he thinks he want's to snipe, then he should really look into flanking. It was my inital goal to be a sniper too. That died about the same time that I learned that longer barrels don't always improve accuracy. Now I just pick the area that gives the best field advantage (height, cover, whatever, Usually the sides) and take a small group to push that small part hard. there's nothing quite like sneaking up behind a small group of opponents and waisting em. Granted this only holds true for woodsball.

Python and Magman are absolutely right. The only time whenever you will, how shall I say, oh yeah, 'snipe' in paintball is when you play outdoors in some heavily wooded area or a really dark area(unless that's when you guys play which is ok, but paintball is meant for constant action, well, to me at least). I said the same when I was a newbie to, uhm, 'snipe' but when I played speedball and games indoors, I just go for it and waste people when I get the chance. F tagging and sniping, take the chance for the glory of wasting people, but be somewhat courteous about it.

magman007 is absolutely right.. all the new paintball kids in my school are always talking about being snipers. one day i was like "well im a front man.. you get lots more action up front"(not totally true) and they were like "frontman?"

every newbie thinks about being a "sniper" cause there too scared to get shot... but i've never been sniped by a newb :P

well technicly to "snipe" means to shoot from a concealed location but in all normal sence it means supreme accuracy at ranges.... but tellem to get a mag, or a A5.... A5s are pretty cool rec guns...

actually the "snipe" is a small game bird and sniper is the term to those who could hit the "snipe" at a long distance thus showing there tallent to get 1 shot in a very small accurate spot.

Everyone wants to be a "sniper" they don't exist in paintball.

Just remind him when u play while u bunker him in the top of the head.

This kid I knew at school said that he was a paintball sniper. He said he had a "tricked out" spyder with an 18in in barrel and a scope on it. Of course I laughed, alot. Well he chalanged me to a game. First i saw his 18in barrel (since it was chrome) stickin out of a bush and i just walked around him and shot him right in the back of the head.
