    Greetings,
We initally had some problems with SCUBA shops.
After talking with the owner and explaining what we were doing and showing the fill station to the owners, they agreed if we signed the waiver and put something on the tank to say not for SCUBA use.
We made some stencils with 1" letters that said:
    FOR PAINTBALL USE ONLY
    NOT BREATHING AIR
and spray painted this in bright red on the side of the tanks we used for a while.
This made the SCUBA shop happy and and they filled them for us.
You DO HAVE to have tanks that are in hydro and the SCUBA shop usually want a "yearly visual inspection" sticker on the tanks, too, but these are SAFETY issues and you should NEVER compromise safety.
    This was in Austin, Texas.
I have since bought a compressor and 6 4500 bulk tanks for the field, so I only use the SCUBA tanks when we "go out" away from the field to play in the woods now.

Putting a notification like this on the tanks may help.
    Cheers,

The annual visual inspection is required by federal law if you are going to transport the tank in your vehicle, you need to do it. I would highly recommend you do it, not just to comply with law, but for your own safety. I personally knew someone who was killed last winter when he filled a tank that had expired visual inspection. The shrapnel found in the dive shop had visible pitting and corrosion on the interior that would have been spotted during a visual.

      See you on the field,

i rent the bottles for $12 a day, and it has nothing to do with the adaptor I just put that on when I'm filling paintball tanks. The scuba equipment is meant to be run off the valve on the scuba, called a yoke valve, the adaptor is just for paintball tanks.

My girlfriend rides a moped. How cool is that??!!

The answer to this question is: probably. I bring my fill adaptor (to fill paintball tanks from SCUBA tanks) to my local dive shop and they are happy to use it to fill my paintball tanks from their scuba tanks. It costs me about as much to fill two paintball tanks (3000psi) as it does to fill a SCUBA tank. Around $4-$5.

The best investment (as other here have said) is to get your own SCUBA tank, do whatever you have to do to get it filled (stencel or whatever), and fill your own paintball tank at home.

Even better, get into diving and then you wont have to worry about them not wanting to fill your tank.

My grandparents wont fill your SCUBA tank unless you have a certification. I dont know of any other SCUBA shops in my area that are any different. So, you should make good friends with the people, or have a disclaimer written up that voids them of any liability for that tank.

yeah, SCUBA can be just as exciting as paintball , and doesnt cost that much more for a complete set up and is cheaper to go more often(only paying for air fills is cheap compared to paintball)
