My local store just trashed the E-Mag

OK, I just got back from my local paintball store and something made me very sad. It all started at last weeks paintball game when I used a black dragun. The accuracy was horrible and the gun chopped like nothing else. But the triggerpull was mouseclick. So easy to rip on.

Now lets look back at my mag. Intelliframe. LX. Classic 68 Valve. No modifications done to sear, on/off et cetera. I can pull a good 6 bps, and 7 on a great day. I play front and have honestly felt limited by my marker. I don't need to spray paint all around the field, but the electo just makes my game so much better.

Now, I am definatly a mag guy so I figure emag sounds like a sweet gun. I go to the proshop and ask to try the emag out. The trigger is very cool and unique - i LOVE the magnets. But the pull is very long. oh yeah, its also heavy. 900 bucks. did i mention the pull was long?

Now lets try the IR3's trigger. I've heard great things about this gun: Mushy, long.

What about the Dye Angel: Mouseclick.

Now I really need to be corrected here. Tell me that the trigger is amazing. 0.3 mm? Thats the shortest I've heard. The store owner pretty much trashed the emag though. I'd really like it though?

Is it a good electro though? Should I just go with an Impulse? I have about 650 ready to burn.

Thanks in advance to the unbiased crew of AO!

You can get it down to .1mm? How did you even measure that? Anyway, the store liked the impulse (I went with REO) and for the money...less than half the price of an emag, I can't see why not.

Put an LPR on that thing and you've got yourself a level ten and no FSDO. Stock barrel is great on it, and the trigger is better stock in my opinion (3mm about on impulse, like 2cm on the emag), and much easier to upgrade (cheap blade or trigger job will make it great). Also, 150psi operating pressure, no recoil, silent....sounds good.

Well, I don't agree with the above completely but I want someone to put up an argument against it. Why is the emag 600 dollars better? Real answers, too...not just "I like it 'cause I have it."

about the angel triggers. DYE doesnt do ne modifications to the trigger i believe so all angel triggers can be set that way. The ir3 trigger feels mushy because there is no microswitch to click on. Instead it has the opti-switch system. The ir3 trigger can also be set just as short as any lcd angel

What state/city do you live in? I really hope your dealer isnt too far from me

Ask your dealer for specific reasons as to why he does not like the Emag. I doubt he messed with the trigger on the Emag, the trigger is what you make of it, very light or very tough, completely the preference of the owner. I've never seen any trigger lighter than Capo's Emag(at IAO someone blew on the trigger and it fired twice). Don't forget, with an Emag you get a marker than can fire if electronics go down. With level 10, a marker that is capable of firing faster, more consistent, yet softer on paint, than ANY other marker on the market.

A nasty Impulse is just that, NASTY. All that it is is a regular Impulse with some cool milling and annodizing. It has little performance-wise over the regular Impulse. I was reading in PB2X that MSRP = 625-1000, and the only difference is milling and annoing. That should tell you something. Also, the emag is vert feed OR warp, and the Impulse won't make a great warped gun. Plus, I will NEVER trust an SP gun. I would take a used emag over an Impulse in a second. No thoughts will enter my mind. The emag can be run if the electronics go kaput with the flip of a switch. The Impulse? No offense to impy owners, but I'd be happy if it ran PERIOD. Sure, the Impulse my bro, Snakebite78 owned, was older, but his emag is 1071, and it's fine. The emag came out, and works great. The Impy came out, and the older ones STUNK.

                  Emag. Quality From Day One.

hmm, ok first of you said your a mag guy right? thats one reason to get the e-mag.

2nd reason, say you dont like the grove trigger? want to adjust it down to hella short? then you can get the timmy 63 blade trigger for 30 bux. best money i ever spent, better than the lx

3rd reason. Lx is superior to a stupid eye. Lx can be set to not crumple a dollar bill (yes, but it wont push the ball into the breach) well, try sticking your tounge in an impy cover the eye, and see if you have a nice new .700 hole in your tounge. the bolt speed is still higher on impys, even with an eye, the bolt can cause a break.

fastest recharging on the market...dont need to ad any thing to that

Hybrid mode, that right there is the reason to buy in its self.

WHat about the stupid yellow key? what about when the little switch on your impy breaks off? also, the key isnt that bad.

you even said you liked the magnets, there hella nice. also, you didnt have it im M mode did you?

no stickies you argue? get your self some load sm5 grpis, i did and there really comefy.

Heavy you say? not really, it isnt that bad, plus its shorter than an impy, even the vert feed is shorter than an impy.

Great customer service, what if your impy goes down? whose guna tech it? the store guy who cant even adjust a trigger? i dont think so.

This is also argueable with the angel, you guys are lucky to have Bob Sandifier, i wish he would do e-mags just so i could give him my business

hmm i dunno what else to say really. this is completely unbiased,i own an e-mag yes, but if i felt another marker was better, i would tell you

i myself use to be a mag guy, and with LX now im very proud of what agd has done. A teammate of mine has a stock mag, it think a intelli-blade frame, retro valve, lx, and hyperflow tank. I think he has a freak as well, and an old school autoresponse sear. And its so fun to shoot, we whip it out every once in the blue moon and amaze the uneducated. Im surprise im starting to see some mags with lx now at the feild.

But after shooting an angel and a cocker. I was just like.. ok mags are good but these are wAy better (my preference anyway)

I like the cocker very much and my team is sponsored by wgp now so we are forced to shoot cockers and i like them alot. (btw my angel is for sale or trade )

I use to be the cocker elve this hahaha cockers arent all that much different that mags accuracy wise etc etc. But they are, just how consistent they are and since they are closed bolt there is less fluctuation with the pressure as well as how theres less than -1 kick .

I also like the angel alot, but who needs two guns

To me if i was going to get a new gun exploring the marker path once again, i would get a nice cocker as main, lcd as backup, and mag for good ol times.

I understand how mags have these anti-chopping capabilites now but i cant make the switch back cause, its just the way they shoot how i dont like. Its different alot different from an angel and a cocker. And my game seems alot better shooting one of them.

I would go with the impy if i were you, i saw a nice blue to silver fade vision imp with all these other imp mods. Like a voodoo something bolt and lpr thinger with a rock. He has an iframe and freak. All the best stuff i think. It rocks real nice. I like it alot, it would be another fun gun to add to my list.

i myself would go for a cocker if i was exploring again, then the imp, the emag last. Although they have the capabilites to be good the money is alot more compaired to others and i believe its custom work as well. i heard LX was a pain in the *** to get tuned right.. not installed but working great. Those emagnum boards run for like a 400 dollars. And i think thats there only performance parst of know of.

hmmm, lx isnt that hard, and the e-magnum is 225 installed, 200 do it yourself.

Dont get me started on the cocker thing, mags are incredibly consistent, if you remember to oil em. I shot 276 276 275 276 last time i chronoed
