Help: Voice your mag and imp knowlege/opinion

Heres the deal...I have a mag right now. But this impulse I saw looks really good. I would like to know what you guys think is a better gun. If the imp is better Ill sell the mag. Here goes....

    My mags specs:
    chrome centerfeed mini mag body
    retro valve
    level 10
    blade intelliframe
    14" boomstick

Heres the impulse and specs: http://www.paintballwholesalers.com/...lue%20fade.jpg

    Delrin Voodoo Bolt
    SP Gel Grips
    Titanium Bolt Pin
    TapeWorm
    Magnetic Trigger or Blade Trigger
Freak Barrel (Aluminum Back, Matching Tip, One Insert (your choice of size)
    Vision Eye
    Max-Flo reg

Ok so what do you guys think? Price isnt an issue. I know there is not really such a thing as a "better" gun. But which gun would do what better. ex:shoot faster, durability, parts, etc etc anything
Selling a chrome centerfeed minimag with a boomstick, stock RT barrel, retro valve, blade intelliframe, sp stickies, dye gasthru, shocktech drop, cp on/off, and crossfire 68 4500 preset to 800.
    Cost = $600 negotiable

Go with the impy. Looks better and looks to have a little more on the upgrade side. Not to get people mad, the mag sounds awesome, but there is something to be said about an electronic trigger.

I've used both guns, and my favorite of the two was the Impulse. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Mags I have owned, but I loved the Impulse for its accuracy (yes it's all in paint-barrel match, but it just shot more accurately) and the looks. Impulse is also quite a reliable marker. Now to me though, it comes down to a few things deciding between the two: Do you want to shoot fast? Do you want to shoot a lot of paint (and buy a lot of paint)? Do you want to just pick up and play (and not have to grease anything)? And do you really want to be like others, or be unique?

If you want to shoot a lot of paint fast and accurately and like to do that (because we all love to shoot), then I'd go for the Impulse. It's a great gun and it's fun to use, and is reliable. But it does need taking care of, such as using the dow 33 grease, and if there is a problem with the board, it could require sending it back to Smart Parts, unless you have a Smart Parts tech near you.

If you just like to pick up and play and use something not everyone has, then I just keep your mag. Automags don't need as much care as the Impulse really, and you can go with oiling them for a while. And not everyone has one, so your unique. But they won't shoot quite as fast as the Impulse.

Hope this helped some, if you have anymore questions, just ask and I or others will help.

A Level 10 mag is sweet. But After playing 1 game with an Angel, I'm seriously thinking about getting an electro after I get my level 10 kit.

Electros are just so easy to shoot, and shoot fast. The Impulse is great, cheap, and you can use them on co2 perfectly.
I'm going through paintball withdrawal, I haven't been able to play since November 2003!

I own an impulse, but I have shot a few mags. Acctually when I was waitng for my impy I used a mag for a month. I know that if emags come out with the new aluminum bodies and the angel feed tube threads i'll buy an emag. But, I would rather have my impy then a mag or even an RT. And impys really don't have that much care, once you have lubed them up twice or so it becomes a five minute process. And with the adjustible trigger you can get it very very short, and if thats what you are in to, its nice. Good luck with whatever you get. Go to impyownersgroup.com and take a look at all the impys out there.

both are great guns, I would go with a mag because i just like the feel of the RT and well thats it.

Im seriously considering the impy now. I trust you guys too with your help so thats comfoting.

What do you think my mag is worth if i were to sell it here on AO?
Ive also got a high pressure crossfire 68ci 4500psi tank that Id sell with it too.
Its got a dye gas thru foregrip and SP grip too.
Also, can anyone give me an approximantion on retail value?

I don't know about the mag but I would keep the tank. Impys are not the best on efficency (sp?). If your field can fill to 4500 I would keep it. Plus its a nice tank, why get rid of it?

I would get rid of the tank because it is preset to an 800 psi output. Thats ideal for a RT mag.
I may be wrong but Im pretty sure impys are low pressure guns. I wouldnt need the tank for that. I could sell it and use that cash towards the gun. Then Id buy a $20 CO2 tank

If your going electro, just get an Emag, that way you can still have the Retro valve, and level 10. Not only that but a awesome trigger and the ablity to evenually upgrade it to an Extreme which is dang sweet.

But is it as easy to rib balls manually on the emag as it is on the impy?
I also saw this trigger for the imp called the I-frame. The trigger pull is almost non existant. Well not really, but its all about vibration.

Secondly, the emags cost a grand. While, the imp, with everything the emag has (magnets, no chops etc) costs about 800. And, thats with the nice colors. To get the colors on an emag you will be paying way over a grand. So really, its 800 some vs 1000 some.

Basically, if they are doing the same thing, then why not pay less for it right?
Please though, I would like it if someone tried to convince me otherwise. I like debating about things before I make a descision. That way I can make what I feel is the best choice.
