Tiny camera for paintball?

I guy from Minn. had this at PB Sam's October Big Game.

http://www.panasonic.com/consumer_el...wear/sd_av.asp It records an hour on a 64 meg SD or MMC chip mounted to the side of his gun using an arm holster for a Talkabout.

It's expensive but low profile (just right to mount to the side, you can use the monitor or not.

yeah, i was watching fox news the other night and they had an article that said "even though those damn pop-up ads are annoying the camera is REALLY good"

I tried those x-cams things.. I had the idea of puting them in everyroom of thte house so I could video conferance with ppl while I'm in the house... loooong story... but they SUCKED

The little people(midgets) sued for that comercial. They felt that such a commercial was a puplic discrimination against "them".

i know this is a long shot but did you ever think of emailing the producers of PUSH. theres one scene at sc village where the have a helmet cam on chris lasoya.

I had looked into this myself and found that there are many places with "bullet" type cams, including some that are helmet/mask mounted. They are out there, I found most of the information on some of those "spy" equipment websites.

There are a couple other issues with the camera. I assume you are talking about video camera, firstly and not digital stills. You need to record to somxe kind of media. If you want to carry the recorder while you play, you are going to almost be limited to some kind of small DV type equipment, thought there are other options as well.

Personly, when I was looking into it, I didn't want to have a couple of grand of gear strapped to me while I flipped and flopped around in the dirt, mud, sand and otherwise known as the paintball field. You might want to look into a wireless tranceiver system.

then, do you wnat just video, or do wyou want audio as well. There are 900mhz and gighz systems available, depending on many things, including budget. The only challenge with a wireless system, is that it requires 2 people. one to play and "run" the camer, and a second to run the receiving equipment and recorder.

Then you need to consider power requirements. Probably everything will need to be run on batteries - ther eis no guarantee that AC will be available wherever you go (unless, of course you do know that AC is available). and "portable" recording equipment is much more expensive than standard wall-plugged gear.

About 4 months ago, when I looked last, the system I would have chosen (parts from several web-sites, nobody had a complete system), would have cost about $1800-$2400.

THe cams can be cheep, but what will you be plugging it into? you still need a recording device., what power supplies will be running these, and hopefully you have though about protection for all of the gear (paintballs hitting equipment can be very damaging)

try this............get a VCR in your car and then just broadcast the images to your car from one of these.

Yes I saw all of these, but this 40$ camera has internal memory and battery, the only downside is protecting it from fire and the incredibally horrid movies I will get out of it :)
