    I thought I'd jump in here and comment on some things in general.

    I'm afraid it costs much more the $1000 to patent something. Try at least 5 times that if it's a mecahnical patent, 10 times that if you are adding electronic components. Just remember, like every other occupation, there are good patent attorney's and there are bad ones, and you usually get what you pay for. Of course, that's the cheapest part of the process. Do you have $10K to build actual working prototypes? Do you have a $200K to build the tools you need to manufacture the product? Oh yeah, do you have a spare million lying around to defend your patent, and product? There are a lot of patents out there that have some good ideas. The problem is being able to make a complete and viable product out of an idea, and actually make it to market. A lot of great ideas have died in the patent office because there was know way to put it to practical use.

    The HALO B has the potential to feed a little over 50 BPS. That's the feed rate of the spring loaded drive cone. Of course, there are so many unkown factors that until we can find guns that can hit true rates of fire at around 30 BPS, we aren't going to be able to see what the loader is capable of truely doing. To us, the ROF isn't as important as adding more features and improving efficiency in the current loader.

    When we first started designing the HALO, paint wasn't nearly as brittle as it is now. That's the reason we had to develop the HALO B. That all happened in only 2 years so who knows what things will look like 2 years from now.

            let me first say ouch.

            Maybe my friend didn't explain well enough to me, or I took it the wrong way. However I knew it was based off the Halo B but didnt know it was just new software, but I am right about your capability of feeding far faster than the halo B.

            You definately make a good point and I don't think any of us expected it to cost that much, I also applaud your product, by far the best loader out there.

                Bob,

                This happens all the time. The story changes a bit as it's told form one person to the next. We just want to keep the misinformation to a minimum. You'd be surprised at some of the stories we hear regarding our company. Really funny stuff at times.

                We have a great relationship with the guys at Racetech as well as many other gun manufacturers out there. Most of them have been very open working with us. Some on the other hand are either very short sighted or they have they're own agenda's. Heck, some of it's just plain ego problems.

                Anyway, we will continually try and improve on our product, and I'm not talking about just increasing feed rates. We take a lot of pride in making a quality product. We want everyone to associate our name with quality. We've had some hiccups along the way, mostly due to our vendors, but we are fairly happy with what's being produced at this point. We will put the same energy in every other product that we produce. We really appreciate those of you that support us, both in buying the product or simply recognizing what we are trying to achieve. The kudos mean a lot to us, as I said before we take a lot of pride in what we are doing. We also like to hear honest feedback both good and bad. It's the only way we know if we are going in the right direction and providing you guys with the product/service you really want.

Not much use for a car that can do 200 MPH, if it overheats and is a complete pain to drive in stop light to stop light traffic.

                    I can only imagine some of the things you've probably heard and I can bet it's been somewhat of a strugge for you guys. I'm also glad to hear that your only "fairly satisfied" because that means more even better things to come (if it's possible anyway), not to mention the fact that your taking the time to clear up any misinformation and solidify the amazing record of customer service oddessy has even more.

                    The only thing I could ask for from a halo that it doesn't already offer would be lighter weight and maybe a little longer battery life.

                        kneeldragger, I just wanna compliment you on a great product and good customer support (I had problems with my halo B) Like I said, its a WONDERFUL product, but do you think it would be a good idea to glue the sensors in?? If im missing a reason this cant be done, please correct me Again, great product.

                          The problem with using glue would make cleaning or even replacing the sensors difficult. We've been toying with some mods to the feed neck. Once we get it perfected we'll incorporate it in the production units.

                                Well, Personally, I have no need for anything more than my Pre-BE 12v Revvy. I rarely can outshoot it, and it feeds at 12bps max (I'm 9-11bps on the trigger). When I do, I'll get a Halo B. Will I ever need more, not bloody likely. I don't shoot F/A and nobody is going to break 20bps in semi for more than a very short burst (I've seen a Warped Matrix do 20, for a 9 ball burst, after heavy tweaking and with a Speed Metal guitarist on the trigger, rolling the trigger.)
