Is there much of a difference

between an e mag and a mag/minimag with a hyperframe?

I am talking about performance wise

So if you go out and buy a mag and put lvl 10, retro valve, and hyperframe on it it will be the same performance wise. The only diffenece beeing the body

basicly, yes, although you cant do the electro to maunal switch on the field shoud your battery die and here are a few costs:

        Emag: $800 new minus LX

Mag: $200 + $200 Retro Valve Upgrade + $300 Hyper Frame new minus LX

        Mag = $700

is it REALLY worth it if you are going to get it all at once? Nope

Correct me if I'm wrong someone , but I've read articles before on the review of the hyperframe and such , and because it's a 9 volt system, they use a weaker solenoid, which has been linked to problems with some mags that it's been installed on. I've heard it lead to the chipping away of bolts and such, but this was on guns that the adjustment was off by a little bit. I remember reading this stuff over on Warpig. You might want to check there, but if you look at their web site ...

They claim it can shoot upto 13 sps in semi , I think the emag can do a bit better. So to say it would be the same .. I don't think so. But it might make a nice marker, but I can't say that from experience.

What I am really wanting is a c&c extreme, but I am kinda impatient.

yeah , me too bro , me too. I'd suggest to keep an eye on ebay for a good used emag. Check out what I recently picked up for $650 on ebay.. LX an freak with 5000 shots on it. Later on I plan on dropping everything into a C&C X body but for now least I got a great gun to play with.

an EMAG is a fully electro phnumatic marker where as the hyperframs and such are just sear trippers.... there is A HUGE diffrence between the two. a Hyperframe is weaker and will wear down your sear& bolt quicker. its not as fast or reliable.... and Emag is FAR better...

I dont think any one said this..but the emag also has a magnetic trigger....thats a very important feature that makes the emag one of its kind(besides the stupid toxic imps)

please explain to me how the EMag is not a sear tripper in EMode

heres how I think the gun works
                          1) pull the trigger
                          2) magnet activates hall sensor
                          3) circuit board activates solenoid
                          4) solenoid pulls down on sear for 30ms
                          5) bolt goes forward, on-off goes up, ball fires
                          6) sear returns when solenoid releases
                          7) gun ready to fire again

please tell me where i went wrong, and how if im not wrong thats not a sear tripper(solenoid pulls the sear)
