    New aluminum makes this possible. 6061 used to be considered "aircraft grade" thats no longer true. The aluminums recently developed are a substantial prortion of the strenght of stainless. We are using this newer aluminum.

    Yes they will wear out faster than aluminum but like Black said it will likely last longer than you own the gun.
