A sad sad day for my sfl...

I went to ccp (indoor field) sunday for their superbowl extravaganza, with super cheap paint!

The day started off with my LX refusing to fire. At all. I dissassembled the bolt/valve, and everything was fine. So i dropped to my stock spring, which worked.

First two games were awesome, but then i started chopping like crazy. didnt seem to be the LX. So i figured i'd drop in my handy dandy superbolt, to make sure. Well the delrin sleeve lasted about 5 minutes cracked and blew off the damn thing.(this was a manufacturing defect or wear, it didnt hit anything inside the gun) So i put the LX back in, and i was still chopping... Needless to say, i was pissed. I couldnt figure out why it was chopping. The only idea i had was that it might be my loader setup.

I setup my loader like most SFL'ers use their halos, except that i have an eggo.(Makes my gun a LOT lighter, and i like the way it sits) I took the breach with the egg, and the feeding was exactly the same as with the halo. Now I was really pissed

so i kept playing games, and it kept chopping like crazy (i had 3 battle swabs with me at all times). I bunkered a player on the 50, shooting him 6 times... ALL 6 BROKE IN THE GUN! ARGGGGG... just left him sprayed, and the ref called him clean. I was honestly thinking about throwing the gun away.

Then the last game of the day the gun refused to fire in E or Hybrid. There was no Low battery indicator, so i figured the Hall was messed up or the gun was too clogged up with paint. (I later found out that there is no low battery indicator on my gun for some reason.

I got home, and cleaned out the gun, and soaked the breach to get some of the paint off.

I cleaned the rest of my gear off, and then i noticed something.

SOMEONE STOLE MY MATCHING BOOMSTICK!
(i know for a fact we didnt leave it there)


Im thinking about selling it now and buying an x-mag(though i fear i may still have horrible problems)
Or an angel or an e-blade orracle...

Did you ever find out what was wrong with the chopping?
And what do you mean you didnt leave your boomstick there, but it was stolen? (You didnt leave it at the field, so you put it in your bag or something, and it was stolen?)

Anyways, this isnt something a mag should really do. Mabye the low velocity didnt agree with the LX (I heard it doesnt) and created those problems, and mabye the cheap cheap paint too

OH, and i forgot. My hall effect sensor seems to change position everytime i fire, its friggin imposible to get it to work!

I Know i put my boomstick in my Bag about 5 min before we left, but i left my bag open and ran to the counter to get my tank. I came back and put the rest of my suff in the bag, checked to make sure i didnt forget anything and left. I KNOW i didnt leave it there, someone must have grabbed it out of my bag (which would explain why my new pgp is missing to )

The LX was workin fine to me, i put in the smallest spring and it would fire fine on the range.

well that sucks man... I feel your pain, my SFL did that too, broke paint all over for no apparent reason, found out later I had blown one of the detents out and my Halo-A was pushing past it... still hadn't gotten it fixed before I shipped it off to Load...

As for the thief's at your feild, well... what color was the boomy? I know there aren't alot of color matched boomsticks out there, so if anyone else shows up with it you will know who it belongs to...

if u have level 10 what spring do u have in it.do u have the ace in the gun if so try it with the ace off.use the same paint that broke in the gun all day.

hey mag...my bud was there at CCP sunday, I'll ask around to see if he saw anyone gank the boomy. He's usually there quite often and is good friends with the owner and workers. I'll ask around.

These days just blow. 2nd to last time I played, same thing happened to me. I couldn't get more than three balls out of the barrel. They just kept breaking. Needless I packed up early. I did bunker some people, and had to tell them that I had him them, and for them to get out.

You did say you had super cheap paint too. Maybe it was just the paint. My problem was that it was just freezing outside.

The LX is very particular to different settings of velocity.
When I play indoor and have to set my SFL to 265, the LX doenst like it very much... have to be very slight in ajusting the velocity and input pressure.

#2 i never use Hybrid, never a need to, Electro works just fine.
#3 I always have my gear in a bag locked shut, and locked to sumtin when I'm playing... over precautiuos.
#4, the hall effects sensor, if not screwed down enough, or wiring is not at a nice 90* angle. will move around. do a search, and find the post where someone posted on putting a piece of foam in the small space to hold the HES in place.

If anything; Find a fellow SFL/Xmag owner somewhere in ur area and have them help you. I have yet to encounter a prob with my SFL that I couldn't fix. - Even got shot in teh LED screen and it knocked it out of attachment, thought my screen was fried- just pushed it back in.
