    just tried an RT..

    hey guys..

i was at the shop today and tried an used RT for the first time.

I'm not sure if it was the setup, or if the guy tried to mod the trigger rod, but it didnt seem right. it was an I-Frame, and when i held the gun with the barrel pointing downward, the trigger hung another 3 or so MM past the end of the trigger rod.

most of the times when i pulled the trigger and released, i got 2 shots. IE, pull the trigger, hold the trigger, release --> two shots. i know that isnt right, or legal.

then i tried bouncing by finger on it. it worked pretty nice just about full auto.

im interested in a x-valve that isnt full auto like the above. I want something that will help my snap shooting. i dont want something that when i tap the trigger bounces like mad.

maybe im missing the point of the rt/x-valve, but i always thought it was to increase ROF w/o being labeled as an automatic and feeling like one.

I am kind of confused on exactly what an RT precisly does... I got the concept down, but could someone explain to me how it feels and that sort of thing? I have a m98 RT trigger, how much is it like that?

Felony, in a word, that setup was fubar.

Falcon.. If I remember correctly, the M98 is 2shots/pull, correct?

The trigger pull is just the same as any other 'mag (excluding E's), only on the return stroke, the valve produces a kick, which helps move your finger back into the original firing position.

Feels strange at first, but it grows on you, FAST.
I'm way too old for this ****.

Sounds like the old AutoResponse trigger, where it fires when you pull and when you release. Those haven't been tourny legal for quite a few years.

Yeah, i have a Tippy 98C RT too...you can adjust the amount of force it uses on each shot to where you can get it nearly automatic...

is this not how the mag RT alos works??

Spazzed that was the general idea I had, I was just wondering if there was more to it. Thanks

There was an autoresponse trigger for the mag back in 1992, was used heavily in tournies for a while before it was deemed too much of an advantaged and outlawed.

well this guys gun, was used, was decked out in all E-mag Equipment, minus the electronic grip.

it had E-mag body, I Frame, Emag Valve, emag barrel..

everything oyu could think of besides the trigger. and it was just wierd. it sure didnt seem tourny legal.

you guys think i would have a better experience with an x-valve? x-valve is just an RT with aluminum design right?

i just dont know right now. i am either gonna save lots and get a used emag or just slowly upgrade my mini-mag. eventually a barrel kit, new body, x-valve , Y Frame etc..

                  thanks

Although you would be ROCKIN with that setup, I think an emag is better and you should save for that. You should still get the xvalve whichever path you go though

i do agree aobut getting an emag, but i dont think i will for a few reasons.

i havent play recently and dont see myself on a team in the near future.

emag would be great, but dont think it is necessary.

ill probably just end up getting things that can be put onto an emag, IE new body, and barrel system. if the time comes when i want to get an emag.. ill be able to save some cash on that..

but i just dont think it is necassry now

                        Sounds good,

Btw, you asked what xvalve was, yes it is an alluminum RT but it comes with level 10 too

                              I'm speculating here*********

The gun your looking at has the e-mag valve, email rail, and im guessing the e-mag body tube... Which I guess is the same as the new RT... But anyways.... The guy who did this probably didnt think about the pin size ie: size for RT valve is .750 and the emag has .715. I'm thinking that he has the shorter pin in there causing it to shoot to fast. If there are any at the shop, ask them to put in the stock pin for the RT... Should be .745 or .750. If you notice less reactiveness in the trigger, just purchase that pin allong with the gun but keep the .715. You could have mighty fun showing off how fast you can shoot .

Another consideration, the tank he was using. If it was an adjustable and over 850 PSI input that could have added to that reactiveness.
