Are you eventually going to stop making SS valves altogether?

I think they just refurburish(sp) them change the serial number and recycle them for the new automags this way it would be more cost effective.

well what if its covered in scratches.

A little polishing would fix that.

true but wouldnt that be a waist of time. i mean you could just as easily melt it down and form a new one

In my opinion Melting it down to make a new one would probality cost them more than just to use an existing one due to machineing it and all the other steps it takes to make a new one.

heres another point. say they did reause the valves. why would you buy and brand new mag with a used valve. its like going to a car dearler and buying the newest car there but having an engine in it from 1990

I still think it is a waste to scrap every valve. Sure, melt down the really old crappy valves, but offer the good ones at a reduced price.

I am NOT going to spend $300 to put a brand new Xvalve on a 1995 AutoMag.
But, $100 on a good 2nd hand Retro makes more sense to me.

Come on Tom, you know it makes sense.....

I'd like to trade in my Classic for a retro or x but it has no serial #'s. Bought it this way now I'm stuck with it. Hoom hum hoom yes hoom hoom hum I am hoom hum. We Ents say that automags aren't orcish hoom haam hum.

                          blah!

classic is good, but old technology, my valve is ~6 years old and going strong

it would be a cool idea to sell second-hand valves at a reduced price... what's ever going to happen to the stock minimags and clasics? are you going to make an aluminum classic valve with level 10 for thoes? (that would be really cool )

i picked up an old SS ReTro for $200, which is a really good deal, considering that it was only used for 2 days of play

and its a reverse retro (i love it more than you can imagine )
