anyone think they spend to much

I see some posts in which some people say I have x amount of money coming to me , usually over 1k , and people ask what gun they should buy. To a college student that is alot of money , I could see if you played tournies , but alot of times its just rec players . I love the game I am looking to start again for the third time , and I have spent my fair share of money but some of you guys and girls are crazy, or rich or both, How much wold everyone say theyve spent in their career

I've been playing Rec regularly for just over a year...I've gone through a Piranha, a cocker, and I currently own an RTP, a Sidekick Semi, and a Trracer...I've probably spent about $2000-$2500 CAD on just gear, guns, and parts.

Anyways... I've been in college for almost 3yrs now, but the key to my spending of $$ is working 2-3 Jobs in the summer. That amt. of $$ is what I live on during the school year, very wise to spend it sparingly so it will last 8ish months (on other things than paintball too).

Another key factor in my spending of Present/future paintball stuff is selling old stuff. If I buy something of certain $, then I have to sell something equal to it to break even. Why do you think I have two N2 tanks for sale, heh, thats a nice $500 right there.

Being involved in paintball, I have sent I'd say, -1000 or so.

So, I made $1000 in the last 3-4 years while playing and buying...

I am ALMOST in the same boat with the "buy one/sell another" crowd. Except when I buy it's usually an upgrade, spending an extra $100 more than I sell for.

You know what, I have spent a lot, but..... meh. It's pretty much the only thing I spend my money on other than living expenses, so.... that's how I justify spending a measely few hundred bucks on some new ugprade

You know what's even worse? When you own an SFL Emag, 3 boomstick barrels, 3 HALOs, a seldom used warpfeed, 2 sets of goggles, and an AGD flatline... Why is that bad? Because that person could be saving up for a new Shocktech Intimidator to accompany the SFL Emag in their gearbag.

well i started playing with my own equipment late last year and i have already wasted about 700. Basically i waste about 1/3 of my check every two weeks on paintball nonsense. ive bought stuff that when i recieve it im like i didnt buy this.

I can take one of your HALOs off your hands . Hmm..lets see, i've spent $2k+ in 2 1/2 years. It would be over $5k, but i trade guns, i don't buy and sell.

I think the sport is way too expensive, but companies need to make money and prices have gone down since the sport started. I spend the money because spending money is fun

Well at roughly $50 a case, playing with 2 cases per weekend every weekend over the summer. So that's 2*50*15(weeks of summer)= $1500 in one summer for paint.

Then 2 cases of paint at $85 per tourney. Usually runs me another $1000 for a tourney season, when i was playing tournies more heavily.

Now multiply that by 3 years (we're just gonna lowball here). That's $2500*3= 7500 for paint.

Add entrance fees, jerseys (got like 10 of them), paintabll guns ($2000 invested in each of my two tourney gun setups, plus 11 other guns, tanks, barrels, 4 masks, 3 harnesses, 80 pods). It just goes up and up. You can see how it would get expensive quickly
