    Upgrade or Buy?

I was wondering if I should keep my tippmann or buy a automag. I could just upgrade my tippman with the e-bolt and regulator double trigger and everything. Or should I get a automag. I usually play in the woods with alot of my friends but im starting to go to arenas like Atomix. So if you could share your info I would like it.

Get the Mag, then you can have a backup ready, even if you'll never end up using the backup.

You are asking a mag forum whether or not you should get a mag. What kind of response were you expecting.

              Oh, by the way.

It depends, if your willing put more into a 98 than the cost of a basic mag, regulator or X Chamber, barrel, LX, hoses ect. then go ahead and buy the mag. In anycase you should question why you want to get a new gun. Believe me once you get your Mag youll wanna upgrade that too. As for rate of fire consider how fast you can shot with a mechanical trigger over an electro and if that extra BPS is worth the money.

A Mag happens to be my second gun, cause I thought I deserved something better after 6 years or so of playing. Hope this helps

How serious do you plan to get? I've had to explain this to several people, and getting a mag is not always the answer. The thing between tippmans and automags is that they are both very durable so they could both be bought used usually with less wear than other markers. If you play often and are serious about the sport, go ahead and climb the marker tree. If you just screw around with some friends every now and then, I'd say make one or two adjustments to your tippy and just keep it that way.

                  Hope this helps,
                  Benny

                    Do both!!

                    Dude,

Keep your Tippmann, and buy a mag as well. I have both and I love them. Tippmanns are the greatest woodsball markers ever. You can run 'em on CO2 guilt free. Of course if you just play woods ball it seems kind of silly to go get a Mag. I mean they are a better quality marker and all, but if you are just playing with your buddies in the bushes. I dunno I take my mags to the field and my Tippmann into the woods.

Interesting opinion you have of us woods ballers. I have a level 10 warped hypermag and one of my buddies has an LCD angel. We play woods ball.

                              time for math

Here's what I think you should do. If you're serious enough about paintball, I would start your way up. A mag is a nice next step. The best way to go is talon, spyder/tippy, mag, then the big daddy. Add up the cost that it will take ya to get a mag. Then, with all of that added up, see how much you could upgrade your tippy with that same amount of money. So if the mag you want to buy is $200, see what you could buy for your tippy with that. Also, try out a mag before ya buy it. It may not be for you. Goodluck. (and remember, with the mag comes the joy of being a mag user, *AO*.)
