                  I believe that the double barrel mag was gold plated but it may have been brass im not sure..

                        just so noone gets confused, thats Doc's comment not mine... I would never do that to a mag. Looks neat for a, "yeah thats different" kinda thing, but its definately not my cup of tea.

                          If you sanded the mag then primed it then carefully added the black coats and maybe even clear coat it after that it would probably come out pretty good.

                            It doesn't look like this has been brought up yet, but Painting your mag body will void the warranty. It's best to get it powdercoated (as I think powdercoating doesn't void the warranty... Or I haven't heard that it does) or to get a ULE and a cocker-threaded barrel

                              hey Cryer, could you clarify this? Is this because plating adds thickness to the body and will mess with the tolerances? Powdercoating isn't that thick I suppose right?
