"Mag's went downhill man"

Yeah.. that's what the butthat said down at the local rip off shop. My cousin was in there with me and were talking guns and my cousin asks "what about the E/X-Mag" (xMag and eMag) and the guy there says that they went "downhill"

Whatever that means, lol. oh and of course he shoots a cocker.

So in my under cover mode (I guess I had the smirk of one that owns a Timmy or something, which fooled him and gave him a false sense of security which allowed him explain in depth why mags have gone "downhill", heh) I ask: "Why is that?"

Who knew such a hard question could have dumbfounded this local paintball shop pro... he looks and me and goes "well.. they just have"

He then said that it's just a mag with a E-Trigger on it. So I asked "isn't that what your E-Blade is?"

He goes.. "oh well, it's more than that, it has an anti chop eye, and.. and.. and... low.. pressure.. and.."

My cousin asks "what about the videos where it shoots really fast?" He comes back with "the eBlade can shoot 24bps!"

I got a puzzled look on my face and asked "I thought it can only cycle like 10 bps" and he just said "noo.. it can shoot faster than that."

Everyone else seemed to join this convo and smirked in a sense of "heh.. yeah.. E-Mag.. psshhh... heh.."

I just laughed my *** off afterwards.. I really wasn't going to get into some lame debate on whos gun is better.. but listening to them was a joke. I wanted to get some reason on why our mags suck so much but every review and message forum has nothing to back up that they "suck". I love my eMag.. I wish I knew what flaw it has so I could try and fix it. It weighs a lot but I could fix that if I was a limp wristed sissy, lol. I don't see any mags being used on fields and everyone smirks and laughs when you mention one, but.. no one says why. ::shrugs::

Basicly.. the E/X-Mag sucks because... well just because, LOL

I'm glad thats cleared up, I'm now gonna buy a gun that still has a hammer and spring based off of a Nel-Spot

ya mags suck cause they chop and they have *POOF* range and they dont have external moving parts and they are open bolt so accuracy sucks and they dont have cool milling and my friend says the suck and budd orr could beat up tom kaye and my teacher says only homo gays shoot mags

i took mine to the field, everyone was dude. you gun is short and fat, loser. then we were playing and i was laying down mad paint and after that one guy was like "who the hell was shooting over there(forgot where i was), i want to shoot that gun. When i heard that, i thought, james is done(first guy i got out, lol)" so..

im going to agree with the man at your shop.

i mean AGD has gone WAY down with their quality and new products lately. i mean look, we got ULE bodies, ULE rails, ULE grips, X valve, E-max, custom made bodies, roller triggers, X-mag, and a warantee service that will fix or replace anything you can possible break, even when my ~96 RT mag broke, they fixed under a warranty ive never heard of. guys seriously, AGD needs to get with the program here....

my solution is to come out with a new shiny LCD version of the EMAG!! LCD adds 10bps you know, and make them low pressure so i can get more shots from my 9 oz co2!

I've found out that often ignorant/misinformed people will continue to believe what they do regardless of what you say. Which shows their true ignorance, when you show them facts stating where they are wrong and they still don't believe. I kinda like the fact that most people in my area don't use mags, eventually they realize how wrong their comments and thoughts are. That and the fact that I don't have the same gun as everyone else is shooting, unoriginal and boring!

I don't think it's ignorance; I think it's elitism, arrogance, and immaturity. People want to think that they buy a product because it's the best on the market. Unfortunately, they don't realize that each product has pros and cons, and depending on how you define and measure how good something is, people refuse to acknowledge the strengths of other markers.

i always like when you go to chrono at a tourny and the guy just shoots the gun normal. then you get a
"Man mags are really inconsistant"
then i have to school them on how to chrono a retro

I am not going to get into the whole who's marker is better debate, however...
An E-Blabe or Race cocker IS capable of well beyond 10BPS.
The only electronic markers I know of that won't shoot beyond that are BKO and stock "E" Spyders.

The only electronic markers I know of that won't shoot beyond that are BKO and stock "E" Spyders.

New BK0's are no longer capped, or just capped at 13 now instead of 10, just FYI.

i went to one of my local fields and had the guys look over my x valve because i couldnt get it to work. he didnt look at it at all all he said was those things suck. we have people bring em in and they dont work. and if they get em to work they can't even tell the diffrence. i was about to slap that man.

i didnt but i wanted to. that whole field sucks. there is one ref that sits on the side of the field in one place and doesnt move. its indoores they dont have good lighting. the owners a dick. the refs are dicks. there idiots. never go there if you come to oregon. the place is called protland paintball it sucks dont go there. go to oregonpaintball its he best i know the owner hes really nice. he sponsors me for motocross. the field is sweet good games are played. the pro shop is in gresham oregon off of powell beind the am pm in a little place. its the gamepad/oregon paintball.
