    Front Players Rejoice!

Hey guys, I have an idea that I wouldnt doubt others have come up with, but im sure it would sell. Since I play front on the break I usually grab the back of my rail right behind my Intelliframe, and if you noticed so do many others so they have a part called a gripper that is formed to their hand to make it easier to hold. Doesnt anybody else want one for their Classic or RT Automag? I drew up a ...err..shoddy sketch , but it should get my point across. Maybe im just posing a dumb idea but I just wanted to know peoples opinions, I used the Ao Hex for my quick drawup. Enjoy.

Hmm.... I don't know... It may seem funny, I never thought about how I carry my gun when I run to the front. Next time I am out there, I will "watch" myself.

Snatch-grips for Mags are on my "to do" list right after new rubber/plastic/pewter Mag grips. So don't feel dumb, folks have already asked for it.

Most front guys just hold their 'gun normally, but pull and hold the trigger so they don't shoot a bunch while running. At least thats what I was always taught to do.

make a longer quick-strip screw and then just get an angel snatch grip and bolt it on there

or you could just use a regular allen screw if you didnt mind the field strip ability to be disabled

i'm probabably gonna do that with the Evil Beavertail for my retromag

i just think they look cool, not to mention its a thick arse piece of aluminum, so its almost guaranteed not to snap on ya

but i'll get a pic of my mag rail, tysonmanchado milled it a bit, and he drilled out the back bottle screws and it made sort of a home-brew snatch grip

but i do think that a snatch grip for mags would be very nice

about the picture, don't ask, its one of the few reverse retro valves made... and i like it... you can sight all the way down the right side of the body without any obstructions like your airline or p/f

Thanks for the opinions so far guys. I think the best idea would for it to be threaded so that when you thread in your quick-strip screw it gets locked down nice and tight. Keep the ideas coming! And thanks for telling Dyeballer, heh, I dunno what I did wrong but im not gonna use his own ignorance against him.

i hold my gun normally but i put my fingers behind the trigger to not fire. but the way our front players hold it is by the foregrip so that they can swing it up in one fluid motion to be able to shoot quickly.

that snatch grip sounds pretty good though.

If you had an electronic gun you'd shoot yourself.

I just hold mine normally, also.

i dont understand how holding an electro by the foregrip would cause yourself to shoot yourself. shouldnt have your trigger that heavy/short.

Yeah, I pitched this idea a little while back. Comments ranged from "yeah, that would be pretty cool" to "that's pointless". I'd still love to see them made, and I'm sure when Shartley gets around to it they'll be fantastic.

My original idea was going to be a whole new body rail with the grip as a continuation, as it would be a little more sturdy and flow with the gun as naturally as possible. Although in the end, everyone seemed to agree just the grip by itself would be more convenient cost wise.

make the grip so it screws in from the top with the 10-24 threaded back bottle screws, so it would be the snatch grip that mounts exactly where the back bottle ASA would have gone

it would be pretty easy to machine and no custom field strip screws would be needed, all you'd have to do is punch out the back bottle holes and bolt on the snatch grip

i think i'm gonna see what festus33 can do with his manual mill
