      i've never had macro bust on me and thats all i use because i never get to go out to where there is SS line to get it fitted to my gun.

      i rarely ever hear of it blowing. most of the time its more like "i hear it blows up all the time, thats why i got a 6" line of SS when i only needed 3.

        I say use what you want. Who cares? I use macroline cause I've never had a problem..But even if it does blow on me once..I'll use it again. I would rather have my fitting blow up then have something in my gun blow up =\ !

        JK, but macroline is fine for us users, so let us use it. Who cares if yours blew up on you. I like macroline just the same. Never had a problem. Use what you want.

            Last weekend at practice we had two macros with the same exact kinda hole on em. One was on a low pressure E-Cocker and was sitting in the car, and kapppeeeeessssshhhh (I think thats how it sounded, I was too busy laughing and saying someeeeebooooodiesss marco blew). And then the tent next to us Team Flash had one completely and outta nowhere go kkkkkkkkaaaaaaattttaaaaasssshhhhh (what is up with these effects) and dropped his Angel Speed right on the ground . And the weekend before that we had another E-Cocker go a bit kablooey, the heat is really whats killing these things as everyone says. I use steel braided minaly just because I have a simple connect to my valve, but if I needed something that was quick I definately wouldn't let these occasions throw me off.

            Oh..it shoots da 620:1 .No problemo.

                So far thats one report of a SS hose bursting and about 5 for macro lines bursting.. 1 of them caused an injury.

                Macro = Crap
                Steel = 0wnz

                lol, and I have been playing since Splatmasters ruled the field.

                BTW you can buy different colors of shrink tube, thats how they color code wires. Although I stayed with black since my whole gun is black:

                Looks clean, won't scratch my gun, won't friggen blow up and it doesn't leak. I can't believe you guys put up with having to wiggle and massage your hose everytime you gas up your gun..

                So what if it costs more, do you REALLy want to get cheap on your $2000 gun when it comes to 800psi of pressure? I sure as hell don't. I pay around $10 for stainless steel braided hose. And yeah you have to measure and then order what size you want for your gun.. you do that once and you are set.

                  You guys need to get the Parker Parflex stuff. (It'll actually say Parker Parflex and some dimensions right on the macroline). Tough as hell, and I've yet to see it burst on anyone.

                      parkers paraflex = will never do that
                      32 degrees macroline = cheap crap that's waiting to explode

                        I compared the 2 visually side-by-side. the walls of the 32* line are about half as thick as the parkers walls...

                        If I do use Macro, its only for about 3-5 inches...

                          Now why do you all even CARE? Nobody's dissing SS. It's all preference. I use macroline because it's more convenient for me. My guns change setup all the time, and I would rather just cut another 4"-12" hose off of my spool than buy another SS hose. I may hook up my RT Pro with some SS hosing, but I'm never gunna diss the macroline. You should never have problems around the fittings if you cut it correctly. Sure, I don't want my macroline to fail, but we've proved in this thread that BOTH hoses can fail. Unless you have a wrench and another x inch SS hose around, you are kinda stuck. With macroline, you just cut another piece. Like I said before, it's all PREFERENCE. Lets end this here.

                            I switched to SS after getting sick of fiddling with the macro everytime I wanted to play. It's just more reliable in my experience, have yet to have a problem with it. I'll sacrifice the classy looks of macro to have a consistently working gun. I've never seen one explode like that, though, unless it was kinked, like someone mentioned. Not like accusing you or anything, but that's just my experience.
