I have the Dye pants. I love them, they are comfortable and have held up quite well to constant rigorous play and washings. They don't get to hot during a long hot day of play either due to the venting along the leg. I can't comment on the JT pants because I've never tried them out.Comment

i have redz pants and i love them! they're comfy and tough and they come with a redz barrel swab too!(redz barrel swabs are the best on the market imo)[*img]http://www.browndotdesign.com/Xodus/AO/YeahThatsMe.jpg[/img]

I hate to say it but I have goon through all the problems Twon expressed. The JT pants are nice and all but they just seem to fall apart around the waist. First time they went through the wash one stap came off and the other was just hanging on by threads. I had to sew them back together. I think they get hotter to than the dye's because they have all the extra padding. (even with the vents zipped open)Originally posted by Twon
The JT are way more padded everywhere, and fell heavy compared to the Dye. You might get more bounce with the JT but be prepared to sweat in during a hot warm/humid.
My JT ripped at the waist strap, I had to repair them because they aren't under any warranty. They are also starting to rip on the mesh section behind. I'll probably buy the Dye after these get totally wasted.
All in all it wasnt a great investment. All of my friends dye pants are still like new and my JT's falling apart. I'll probably be buying some dye pants myself soon...Comment

if you want pants that WILL NOT fall apart on you, then Smokin outlast paintball pants are what you want. They are made by Brimstone enterprises, the same company that makes all of the Ultimate Air bunkers.
The pants have huge sections of hemp (vertually indistructible compared to all other cloth matireals. been sliding for months on them and have yet to even have a small rip. But the best thing about them is that they have removable built in knee pads that are better than any other knee pads out there. They don't have straps that will make you legs loose circulation, and they wont bunch up and slide either up or down your legs. They are foam rubber pads cut to make a small cup shape that will fit your knee. They then slide into the pocket that is between the hemp and the actual pants material.
After using them my knees have never felt better! And i have a bad left knee. Plus you truely can slide further with the knee pads than without since they displace your weight over a wider surface.
go to http://www.smokinpaintball.com/main.asp to see a pick of the black on red pants. The black part is all hemp! Now i personally hate the looks of the black on red, but the black on black are super coolComment

I have the black on grey Outlast pants ... and will be posting a review on them here this weekend once I get some more pics of them and such.
But for now, I love the damn things :) they cost a little more then others, but are worth it IMHO ... I have used JT and Dye and like these a ton more.

hmmm removable knee pads....thats what i've been looking for!
yow 80 bucks...is there anyplace else that sells them besides the manufacturor?
was checking out the pics of the colors n such, i also don't like the red/black..kinda looks like some old school bellbottoms or something, black/black looks nice. Is the grey/black the same color scheme as he red/black?
Also do these have any kind of warrenty?Comment

Skoad, trust me, the knee pads and hemp make them VERY WORTH IT.
All of the pants will have hemp in black, so yes the grey and black will look similar to the red and black.
As far as warrenty...i am not sure?
But considering how if you use other pants you will have to purchase them frequently...well, with these one set should do ya.
As far as other places to purchase them....not sure. I won my two sets in tournaments.
I will take some pics of mine this weekend.Comment

well, heres a few pics
this one is of the knee pad itselfComment

this one gives you an idea where they fit into the pants and how.
you have to fold the pad in half and slip it into the pocket. And the one that is just sitting on top of the pants shows you where it sits when they are acutally in the pants.
you can get another look at them here along with some more info from globalhemp.com

i have no complaints with my dye pants.Comment

Question. Do you guys think it would be worth it to get a pair of actual paintball pants for someone who plays mainly rec ball? I mean, while we don't do all of the sliding like in speedball, we do do some of it, and being on my knees in the sticks can hurt sometimes. Should i just get knee pads? And if so, who?Comment
