As much as I'd like to take credit for the double-'Mag, that's not my work.
When that thing hit the cover of APG, I was still shooting old Cobra pumps and we thought that 68 Specials were "high tech".
There was a writeup not too long ago on this board about who actually did make the double-'Mag, but I don't recall the details. I understand it's been passed around, sold a few times, upgraded, modded, changed, etc. over the years.

Actually, no.
The cover caused something of a stir- at least in our little group- remember, this was paintball (an odd new sport) in backwater Alaska (I&I SPorts wouldn't sell us equipment because they wouldn't ship "outside the United States") in 1991 (paintball as a whole was only nine years old, semiautos were a brand-new craze, a 100-round hopper was huge, and Dave Youngblood was only sixteen.)
It was the first time any of us had seen anyone try and play- or at least pose, appearing to play- in anything but some sort of camoflage.
The hot, trick thing to do back then, remember, was to locate oddball camo patterns: Russian special-ops camo, Belgian Legionnaires' desert pattern, that sort of thing. There were few "harnesses" other than the JT vests that held tubes- guppies were mere 50-round pots that not everyone could use, as many hoppers still had small lids designed for 10-round tubes.
These guys were dressed in bright colors, with the first-time-seen bright-color goggles. This was something new: the idea that you don't have to crawl through the grass, hide, or try and blend in with the foliage.
However, the photo was staged- the goggs were JT's "refs" helmets, and the "armor" was JT Motocross stuff, which has been brightly-colored for years.
But it looked cool. Moreso at the time.

Oh really?!? I always thought it was your work. It doesn't matter, it's not like you can't make a double mag. Any plans of making your own version of the double mag? I'm sure it would look a lot better.
In a couple of years we're all gonna look back at photos of ourselves (in paintball gear) and laugh at how funny we look now...trends and styles always change, but they will always get there inspiration from what was once in!UPGRADE YOUR GREY MATTER 'CAUSE 1 DAY IT MAY MATTER!!!

when i saw the first page i though dual warps would look sick, then i saw the double mini and although it looks kinda cluttered, it still looks cool cause theres no double blimp target for opposing snapshooters.
That thing rocks, keep it up doc
and yeah, when is the winner going to be decided? The proud owner of
