It sucks getting falsely accused for wiping

Thats what happened, but the ref and like 3 people didnt believe the good ref! No matter what he said, even though he was literally right behind the guy the whole time, checking everytime they called checks on him

Yep.
Basically bad ref didn't wanna hear what good ref had to say, even though good ref was the one right next to me... *sigh*... pride can be such a dangerous thing.

I have been accused more than once of it. I have never done it though so I guess it's all good then.

i was on one knee behind a bunker once and the other team called a paintcheck on me. so the ref comes over. i'm still getting shot at. so i play on while he's looking. i tell him it was splatter. the spot they think they hit is on my shin. he looks. he looks again. for some reason he keeps looking. how long does it take to check one leg? finally because my leg is STILL exposed someone takes a shot at it and i quickly bring it back. it touches the ground. he tells me if i do that again i'm out. while he's talking i'm not paying attention to the game and get gogged.

it's even more annoying when you get called out for bunker rub. when stuff like that happens though, i always bite my tongue and shut up. blood in my mouth, is better than blood on the ground.

happend to me last tourney did a full feild run fell took out 2 guys fell in the middle of the feild(reff got in my way:)), got up was still clean then i ran to there back Can totaly ligit shot there back guy he was so supprised that he shot me twice casue i gogged him _( HE WAS NEELING I DIDNT TRY):) then i proceeded to shoot at there other back guys and got hit calling my self out now the refs being confused called it a 2 for one and they later apologized, i told them still dosent help for the game we lost .. and had a few choice words with him:) no hard feeling. but i know what you meen dude i feeel for ya

I've had players yell at me or to the refs to check me, but never a ref accuse me of wiping.

Just remember, if its a player yelling at you, the bonus ball is a beautiful thing

i only read the 1st post, but if what you said was true then i would have gotten a couple shotts off on that ref Dunno if thats right or wrong but its not gunan kill him.

Did you have a lot of bouncers? You may technically been "hit" but if none of them broke, oh well. Maybe the far ref was seeing bounced shot that he just though must have broke on you.

I sincerely doubt it, because he specifically said "hopper hits" when he talked to me at the end... have any of you seen bounces off of a hopper, other than from (MAYBE) the other end of the field??

I'd suggest this to anybody this happens to, that if your falsely accused of cheating and the ref is making it a huge deal (but make sure you have witnesses to attest to your innocence), then I'd take it up with the field owner. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't like it if they found out one of their employees was badgering a customer. To be falsely accussed of something where your paying high prices, most people wouldn't enjoy that very much. I'm sure the owner be happy you'd bring it up with him because the last thing any owner wants to do is lose business because of a bad employee. So if it happens again, see what the owner has to say.

Hmmmmmm. I have 2 ideas of why he thought that. But I'll ask this first.


What paint was used? Did they happen to be using RPS paint that day?

If so, their Advantage shell might be to blame. If he shot you say.... on the hopper. What Adv shell has been known for is say it hits your hopper on the seam of the paintball. The ball will actually break on the OTHER side, cup around, and make all the paint spray up and OVER the hopper. So no paint or very little actually will be left on the hopper. However from a distance it looks exactly like a direct hit until closer inspection when no paint can be found.

Either that, or the guy hit the bunker you were at. And it sprayed from there, yet the hit was so close to you and your equipment that to the far ref it seemed like YOU were hit.
