AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I think I heard Someone at AGD said they could design a Warp Feed %50 of the size of the current one but that it would require all new processing equipment.
New Boards, New Motors, New Disks, ect.
As it its the warp weights 15 Oz. By reducing the size you could probably only get it to like 7-10 oz. Thats alot of work for 5 oz.
If the warp was smaller it would not be as sturdy. The current dimensions give it a fair amount of sturdieness. Somethings like the battery and the motor could not be reduced much.
To have the boards made a certain size and the molds all costs money. Than if they dont sell warp feeds AGD loses their investment. They have to sell a certain amount of Warp feeds to make a good profit and than maybe in a couple of years. Wallah the warp feed becomes miniturized.
I think the grabber plate holds like 7 balls so its not hard to imagine it picking up 3 or 4 balls at %50 size.
Someone also mentioned a whopper. If you had a warp feed that was 2-3 inchs it would be easy to incorporate it into a hopper. SO at that point why build a smaller warp feed. WHy not make a whopper. (Warp Hopper)
Anyway theres nothing like the warp feed on the market. With supply and demand they dont have to build anything else until a competive product comes out. LIke another Power Feed mechanism.
exactly, with making all new pieces they already have around 12 different molds for the current warp feed... it would cost A LOT to make new ones too much
