I'm just wondering out there of any of the X owners that have already coughed up the quadruple digit price for an X-Mag have regretted the purchase. I know this may turn into a flame fest and if it does I will sick the hounds..i mean mods onto and delete your post..I want honest opinions and testimonials...not dumb finger pointing..
Has anyone regretted buying an X-Mag?

Perhaps not quite what your looking for (and if so feel free to comment and ill delete my post myself) but imho, theres really nothing special on the xmag that makes it better than an emag... your paying $400+ for milling, anno (which im sorry to say im not terribly impressed with), an ACE (tho practically negligable when lvl10 is on both anyways)which sounds fair actually...HOWEVER, this is horribly offset by the 6month+ waiting period. A person would be able to get a uled emag (which correct me if Im wrong but SHOULD be in production already), sell the ule body, get a dallara body + rail and have it annod for a little UNDER the price of an xmag in roughly HALF the time.."Nothing is more beutiful than a warrior with no distractions".

well, I wouldn't say i regretted buying it, but once i had it, i didn't fell it was worth what i paid... i guess i just got caught up in the hype- the ACE didn't do anything for me w/lev10, and i don't use a warp, so the breech deal was useless for me. And it feels EXACTLY like my emag did. so, it just wasn't for me. Nice gun, if they could make it for $1000.
That said, i wasn't crazy about the Speed either. I've settled on a mechanical Works cocker and haven't sold/traded in like 3 months- an eternity for me.
to each their own. The XMag is a great gun.sigs are overrated.Comment

my few cents
I got to fire as well as play a game or 2 with Deroach's X. Truth be told it is a sweet gun but not worth 1.5k, infact the only gun I have ever shot that is worth that was an excal. for 1500 bucks I would hope for 0 chops, insane ROF, extreme consistansty, and sky high effenicy. Honestly I think the price you are paying is for the exclusive nature of the gun, kinda like westwood cockers.
Just my thoughts so everyone keep thier shorts on.

well im stuck on 2 things right now.
one is a Nice blue Speed with freak barrel, 1 insert, clamping lowrise, all stock stuff for 775 shipped.
the other is an emag with full freak, boomy, and lvl x for 700. which i would then go buy a non C&C xmag body, and have the body milled, get anno on everything, and have a nice custom X mag.. heh what to doComment

Not to get off topic, but you do realize how much milling and annoing costs? Milling especially? I had a ULE e-mag, well, except the body (owned it before ULE bodies came out), but I sold it to Remington, and ended up with a matrix. Could not have been happier, IMO, go with the speed, it's an all-around better package, plus you don't have to pay for milling...Originally posted by JT2002

well you see, i dont have a problem spending the 1400-1500 or so that it would cost to build that totally custom xmag, its just a matter of not being sure of exactly what i want. what i was considering doing is to get the speed, so after it got shipped id have it by the weekend. shoot it. if i dont like it, put it right back up for sale (i think it should sell pretty easily and with paying 775, i doubt i would lose much money when selling it) and then buy an emag and the body and allComment

Well seeing as how the SFL emag is pretty much an xmag... Do I regret buying it? Absolutely not, and I will never part with it because it is somewhat rare and it performs well for me. I will never sell it, however it doesn't mean I will never shoot another marker as my main marker. I think for the price it is lacking in efficiency over its cheaper version... The ACE some say will be useless with lvl10,I find that not to be true. LVL10 does stop almost all chops BUT unless your running the longest spring and have it as soft as possible, it is never going to be chop free. I have run into bad paint and such that cause some chops still and with the ACE on it really does eliminate almost any problem, cept for say barrel breaks....
It is AGD's elite marker, it may not be THAT much better then the emag for the price you pay but you will be shooting the BEST AGD has to offer you! I think it is worth it, but I can also think of a few more markers that I would also strongly consider over the xmag.Taking a long needed leave of the sport to finish school and tour the country

I know I wanted an Xmag not too long ago...but because of the cost I would have to sell one of my markers and the time it would be for me to wait, I just opted to convert my Emag to a ULE Emag. I have a warp on my mini so if ever I wanted to play with a warp, I just bring that out. I've also asked other Xmag owners if they liked the ACE and everyone said with the LX, it wasn't needed...so what was left was the exclusivity of owning a very nice looking marker. Was that worth it? For some...maybe, but for me...it was too much to sacrifice to get basically the same thing as my Emag.
But not to take anything from TK and his efforts to give us what we've all been asking for, I still think it's an awesome thing to own that performs as well as it looks."I just came for your mayonaise." ~ TooDamnSweet

I love my Xmag
I have nothing but love for my XMag. I have broken exactly two balls in it since I got it this past winter. Both times there were extremely mitigating circumstances. The whole idea, I think, of having one is not just the exclusivity (although that helps), it's not just the belt-and-suspenders approach of having both an eye and the level ten (although that helps), or the low weight (helps), the tight tolerances and reliability (helps and helps), or the removable breaches (ditto helps), or the sheer joy of owning something that beautiful (helps)...
the h*** with it, it IS all those things!
Seriously, I understand that you can get a ULE'd EMag for less, but I really do like having both the eye and level 10, and the breaches and all the other little differences. These things make the marker. Why else do you see people milling the bonzo out of their cockers? Why else do we see Angels with eyes?
To steal a line from Molson: My name is Marchborne, and I am an XMag owner!!Sleep? Isn't that a completely inadequate substitute for caffeine?

I like mine, but have problems adjusting to the trigger. I want to get a tl63 for it and hope that does it, if not i'm selling her.
Will someone PLEASE make a blade trigger for the xmag again! I want to love it, but cna't shoot fast on it for anything.
I have already gone and purchased a new gun that I love more than my trix and xmag combined, an excal. This chicken's got a brand new bag.

My X-mag is the first high end marker I bought, my other markers cost under $300. I paid $1350 for my X with 2 breaches. I do not feel cheated at all and I feel it was worth every dollar.Comment
