      Gravity Games

from what i've read at other sites, paintball MAY become the newest edition to the gravity games in the next few years... but right now, companies like brass eagle, JT and Kingman are just being allowed to showcase products and demonstrate the "technology" that has been developed since paintball was taken off ESPN in the late 90s. (HA, as if a spyder/clone can compare to a mag/angel/timmy/matrix)

      check pbstar.com for more details.

Wouldn't proving you wrong make you happier, since then the prices wouldn't raise?

I don't want paintball to make it big. It will just be cheesier than it is now? Every watch the pro's play or ever play a tourney. Everyone is such a tool bag, they take everything too seriously. For god sakes its paintball...

Thats the EXACT same as saying that pro basketball players take it to seriously, or any other sort for that matter. One word, and think about it. PROFESSIONAL. If thats how you feel, you either need to

                A) look up the definition of the word sport

                or

                B) Go back to playing sniper in the woods.

Some people take it seriously because they love the sport, and want to take it someplace.

Paintball will not be in the Gravity Games this year.

The NPPL was working on a deal to get it in, but the deal fell through. Basically for a sport to be in the Gravity Games you just have to cut a check to the Gravity Games people - that hefty check plus the cost of running the paintball competition would have made it happen.

That seems kind of backwards to me - pay for the priveledge of giving the Gravity Games something to shoot and then they get to make money off of the commercials.

What has happened though is that Brass Eagle and Kingman have display booths at the Gravity Games. People who go to the Gravity Games in person will be able to check out BE and Kingman products when they aren't busy watching the skating, BMX, etc.

The NPPL put out a press release about that, and in it raised the question of whether or not paintball will be added to the Gravity Games. The way the release was worded has mislead many to believe that paintball was being added to the Gravity Games.

                    See you on the field,
