    AGD Flatline....slow recharge?

I keep hearing that the AGD Flatline tanks aren't particularly high flow. I plan on buying an Angel IR3 for my next marker and I'm skeptical as to if it can keep up.

ha are you kiding me, haven't you seen all the vidoes here of flatlines on emags shooting 20+

I myself have done some high rof testing with the flatline, and it has no problems keeping up!

P.S. Angel airs suck, they have a very poor recharge rate, depending on how you set up your ir3 you might want to put in an classic valve spring pack to bring down the flatlines output pressure.

i dont think there will be much difference between a flatline or dynaflow or maxflow or anything else

mine's had some drop-off and a slow recharge lately, BUT it was never like that before, i am guessing that it is attributed to a bad reg seat... but luckily they finally have some new ones made, i gotta call the office on monday and order a few extras

i have 3 flatlines and have had shootdown once...but it was my fault. i use greasewhip hose on 90 degree elbows. the only thing ive found on the flatline i dont like is that the output hole from the reg to the air line is set at the base of the threads on the side of the output hole. if you have your elbow screwed in too far you will cut off or seriously constrict the flow of air from the reg into the hose to the valve. once i discovered the prob i backed out the elbow and have been high flow and no shootdown since.

hmm.. then why have several people been complaining that they dont get nearly as much reactivity with flatlines than with max-flos? i for one have experienced this. had an axvlaved mag running with a flatline, not getting much recativity. switched the flatline with a max-flo, same output pressure, much, much more reactivity. you could get some 3 shot bursts going with that sucker.

the higher the input pressure into the valve, the more reactive it will become

also, with a shorter on/off pin, it will become even more reactive

I'm not even going to pretend to know the reasons why, but my flatline definitely could not get the job done. I tried as high as 1100 psi input pressure and could not hit a sweet spot once. My friend has a hyperflow so I hooked up to his, set at 900 and my gun took off! Soooo easy to go reactive. So I bought a hyperflow and its worked like a dream. Like I said I don't know what the difference is, but the results speak for themselves.

I got a flatline as well. I am also playing with a x-valve. I have only shot it with my flatline so I don't really know if it is great or not, but I think it is fine. THe flatline does seem to recharge slow. it drops down on each shot, rises quickly almost back to its original stat then finally clicks back up.. this normal?

if i shoot fast, and output is set to 800, it will only come back up to 6-700.. until i let up, then i get what i spoke of above again..

                    any ideas|?

                    thanks

Dude, you also need to change your spring packs and reg seats in your flatline for them to function at full capacity. Sometimes they aren't up to spec because the parts are worn.

If your flatline, or any other well made tank for that matter, is not keeping up...quit blaming the type of tank. Blame the problem that is occuring with that particular tank and get it fixed. Any decent tank out there will more than do the job on any marker made...WHEN ITS WORKING PROPERLY. Many tanks do WAY more than is demanded of them. WHEN THEY WORKING RIGHT!!! The Flatline is one of those. Fix the darn things and stop drawing the wrong conclusions without investigating why. You have to know MANY people are using them succesfully and so why is yours not doing it? EVER THINK IT MIGHT BE BROKEN!?!?!?! Even new outa the box it happens! I hear this same thing about every tank out there. But I also seen them all work.

Yeah, that's what I said... the parts might be worn... you just took it one step further and said the parts might be broken. lol... Nice speech though... very angry.
